We went to Dos Salsas Tex-Mex Restaurant in Cedar Park for lunch on a Thursday around 12:30 p.m. The place was busy, but we were seated right away. Our waiter, Rico, was great. Since it was our first time, he went over the menu with us and helped us make a selection based on our preferences.

The chips and salsa came out as soon as we sat down. There were two types of salsas, a thick and chucky red salsa and a thin and watery green salsa. We preferred the red salsa, and it had good flavor and a nice spice to it. My wife actually preferred to mix the two salsas together! For our meals, I got the Burrito with Fajita Beef, and my wife got the El Gordito Tex-Mex Combo, that came with two cheese enchiladas and a beef taco. She added chicken to her enchiladas. Overall, the food was okay. I liked my plate more than my wife liked hers. There wasn’t anything wrong with the food, it just didn’t blow us away. We both liked the Mexican rice, and I really liked the beans that came with her combo. Based on Rico’s recommendation, we plan on trying the fajitas when we come back.

Dos Salsas is a solid choice when it comes to Tex-Mex food in Cedar Park. From the reviews, they clearly have a lot of fans, and the place is always busy. We will definitely go again when we are in the area. I recommend that you give Dos...

Fantastic meal. Fantastic service. A great choice for Mexican food in the area.

I was meeting some friends I hadn't seen for several years and they had gotten recommendations for this restaurant so we made plans to try it.

We were seated fairly quickly for such a busy time of day even though my friends were delayed with traffic. I was expecting to wait longer since not all of the party was present, and especially since i was by myself at the time. The room was well lit without being overly bright, but that was helped by the large glass walls looking out on the parking lot.

When they arrived our waitress was with us quickly and our wait time after ordering was very short for our food to arrive. The servings were large and everyone had plenty to eat. I heard no complaints from anyone else about their food and my friends were offering each other bites of their food then praising the flavor and taste.

My friends all had to get to go containers due to the amount of food in each order. I'd had a busy weekend and had extremely light meals so I was really hungry. I think I might have left three bites of food on my plate, and was still very satisfied when i got home after a three and a half hour drive.

I'll be back near here in a few weeks so I may stop back in again on the way to Brownwood or on...

This was the second time at this location, but unfortunately it wasn’t a positive one. Long story short: the manager and owners need to do a better job of having backup cooks when they fall short of necessary staff. Our duration at this restaurant was 2.5 hours - we ate for 35 minutes and waited for ~2 hours. The food was ok - not as well flavored as our first time. We were a party of 11 people (yes that’s a large group and we weren’t the only large group), but the restaurant has plenty of space to accommodate multiple large group sizes. Staff at front communicated it was going to be a 20 minute wait for a table (turned out to be an hour), but the worst was having to wait yet ANOTHER HOUR for our FOOD. When we asked staff what was going on, they said two cooks didn’t show up causing such a long wait and that they stopped seating new groups. You could tell other patrons were annoyed by this dilemma as well. Here’s the thing: good restaurant management know all too well that weekends are busy and therefore should have solid backup plans in these type of situations. TBD if we go back - in general the atmosphere is fine, food is decent, and acceptable wait time can be easily accommodated if the restaurant is serious about a good customer experience and want to build return...

Plenty of parking. Large and open dining room that is buzzing with the sound of happy customers. It feels like an old fashioned cafeteria. There are two areas on the sides of the main dining area that are more cozy. This is my second visit. We arrived just before noon on a busy 4th of July weekend on Saturday but we were seated right away. Our waitress named Alexandra got us our water, beverages and food within 10 mins. My wife and I ordered the "Pechuga a la Crema". We were stuffed! We should have split one order because it was so much food. It was grilled chicken covered in a delicious, rich and creamy sour creme sauce with cheese, mushrooms, onions and poblano chilis. Poblanos are tasty but not hot like jalapeños. It was topped off with two slices of fresh avocados and tomatoes. The Spanish rice was also very, very good! I poured their green salsa over the rice to make it even better. I love their charro beans, but I enjoyed the chicken and rice so much that I never even touched my beans or fresh tortillas. The manager, Jesse stopped by to check on us. Very nice guy. We were so pleased with the food and service that we left a 20% tip.

Dos Salsas is a go-to destination for those craving bold Tex-Mex flavors in a lively and welcoming setting. From the moment you walk in, the upbeat vibe, spacious layout, and the buzz of happy diners set the tone for a satisfying meal. Whether you're visiting with friends or family, the atmosphere strikes the right balance between casual and energetic. The menu is impressively large, offering a wide range of Tex-Mex classics—from sizzling fajitas and enchiladas to crispy tacos and hearty stuffed chicken dishes. One of the highlights is their variety of margaritas, especially the jalapeño and El Don options, which pack a punch and are crowd favorites. Portions are generous, and the flavors are bold—some may find the seasoning a bit on the salty side, but overall, the food is flavorful and filling. Service can vary depending on the time of day, with some guests noting delays during peak hours, but most staff are friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable, and the overall experience offers great value. If you’re in the mood for vibrant Tex-Mex fare with strong drinks and hearty plates, Dos Salsas won’t disappoint.
