I stopped by yesterday 5/26 for my son’s lunch. I ordered a Chalupa box totaling $5.41. When I got home I saw a total of 3 charges for the same amount on my PayPal MasterCard and saw 1 charge for the same amount on my Visa.
The story- While waiting at the drive thru window and first giving my PayPal MasterCard to the youngster at the window, he took an unusual time giving me my card back. He seemed a little nervous doing different things but was friendly overall. He finally gave me back my mastercard and said it declined. Odd enough, should not have been the case, but whatever. Seemed he was doing more than 1 thing at once and not paying attention to how many times he was swiping my card. I gave him my Visa card and it was approved he said.
As soon as I got home I proceeded to check my transactions and saw there were numerous transactions on my PayPal MasterCard and another one on my visa.
I immediately proceeded to call and ask for the manager his name was Paul. He definitely did not apologize when I spoke to him over the phone but instead blamed the verifphone system they use and said it would be impossible to charge multiple transactions. That it’s not like his employee would be trying to steal? Yeah no one ever mentioned your employee is trying to steal. Own up to your employee not paying attention and charging multiple transactions within seconds of each other. Plain and simple. You’re a manager, Fix the issue. Yeah no! two of my credit cards were used common sense! With all the technology we use now and days nothing is IMPOSSIBLE.
I came in person to the store and he called Veriphone just basically letting them know the situation and that 4 transactions were on my credit cards. He wasn’t long on the phone when he said they don’t see anything on their end. All he said was to call the 1800 Taco Bell number and talk to them. Why? It happened at your store, your employee charged multiple transactions on my credit cards and you can’t refund my own money? That’s insane and pathetic all the same time, I’m baffled.
I filled out a Taco Bell form with feedback and concerns, explaining all the details and store details that occurred yesterday. I will be calling today to speak to an actual human at their corporate office.
I won’t ever be back to this location and be very aware of your transactions at this location. You...
Read moreI placed an order online for pickup. The order included a Taco Party Pack (12 tacos). When I pulled up to the window, I noticed my order was missing 10 tacos. The attendant at the window said that the party pack only rang up as two items, so that’s all they made. I kindly asked them to make the additional 10 tacos and they said they couldn’t … because it would mess up their inventory. I told them it was a little ridiculous to pay 20$ for 2 tacos, and they agreed, but they insisted there was no way they could help me. I asked for a manager. A manager came to the window and insisted there was nothing that they could do and that I would need to contact the “app” for a refund. I tried to reason with her, and pointed out how ridiculous the situation was, and she insisted that there was nothing they could do. They said they called their general manager, and that, over the phone, the GM said they couldn’t help. I didn’t want to hold up the line, as I’d been at the window about 10 minutes trying to reason with incompetent employees. When I made it home, I jumped on the mobile ordering site, but I cannot find a location to submit for a refund. I’ve frequented Taco Bell for years, and I’ve had several great interactions with the employees at this store, but this was absolutely ridiculous. Long story short, avoid ordering online … and don’t expect the team at this store to be helpful in any way if you...
Read moreMom and I pulled up to the drive thru to order, and after she ordered my food, she began to order for herself and asked if one of the combos was like a chalupa - she just wanted to make sure she was ordering the right one she had ordered before, as it is similar. There was a little bit of confusion, as the employee didn’t know what a chalupa was, so she just informed them that it was on a flat tortilla, solely to make sure that she was ordering the same combo she had last time. He cut her off when he asked if that would be all, and when we drove up to the window, we could hear the employees making fun of her in the background, calling her crazy, among other things. Now, my mother is one of the kindest people on the planet, and that was a harsh blow to her self-confidence. It took every fiber of my being not to storm in and shake the life out of them. This is the first time I have ever done a review because usually I can’t be bothered, but this experience was a personal attack on my mother. She simply wanted to make sure she was ordering the right combo that she had last time, and she ended up driving home fighting back tears. This is the absolute pinnacle of unprofessional service, and I will never forgive what they did. How. Dare. They. Messing up an order? An inconvenience. Practically insulting my mother to her face for no reason at all? Unforgivable. Jesus Christ, where is...
