Service was impeccable but the food was horrendous. Definitely not worth what I paid. What you see in the picture is two orders burnt ends and one order brisket as well as two very sad looking cornbread muffins I would complain about the portions but what I got was so terrible it was hard to eat. Famous Dave's used to be pretty fair Q. Not nearly as good as Smokey D's in Des Moines but few are. They apparently were bought out by a Canadian company who in Cedar Rapids is selling Famous Dave's to go out of another restaurant with no FD signage at all. Poor Dave. :-(

The food was perhaps the saddest Q I ever had. Tiny portions of sides and meat. The burnt ends did not appear to have been smoked at all. Lots of fat that was not broken down.

I would not go here again if...

I just moved to the area and ordered here once with the 1 meat combo, today I tried the 3 meat combo and literally paid $30 for 1 peice of the smallest chicken leg 1 rib and 6 pieces of burnt ends that weren’t even burnt. The pricing and the food you’re getting doesn’t make sense. If I’m paying for $30 dollars worth of food regardless of its BBQ it should be a decent portion. You get your food thrown in a box and it looks disheveled and unappetizing, this will be...

Posting under our "official" handle TravelingbyCarr GandR...Love BBQ/smoked stuff and had 2 choices...Don't know about the other one, but Famous Dave's was a Famous Mistake...R got rib tips and I went with brisket...The beer was cold and so were my potatoes...The brisket was ok...R's rib tips were very dry...When leaving, interrupted the counter girl's cell phone session to give our opinion..."Um, sorry"...And we were sorry that we wasted time & $ at...
