C. Wiesler's — Restaurant in Cedarburg

Would not recommend. Walked in for lunch for the first time and was not greeted by waitress. Walked to bar and the waitress seemed to have a short attitude and stated it was assigned seating only. So, my bf and I sat down in a booth. I had asked to use the washroom and received attitude and was told it was around the corner. Again, I have never been to this place before. As I returned to my seat, the waitress asked if I knew what I wanted to order. I stated I needed a minute. Another couple came in at that time. they must have been ‘regulars’ Bc the waitress greeted them and had pleasant conversation. When she returned to our table, I had asked about the crab cake sandwich. She was unfamiliar with the item. (I always ask for the waitress/waiters opinion on food when trying a new place.) I do have to admit, the food was good. However, even paying for our meal, the waitress returned to our table by slamming their glass jar on the table not saying a word. I cannot believe they don’t want customers! We entered the patio from the sidewalk and sat down. Then got yelled at. No joke, hollered at. Server said, “You can’t expect to get served if you don’t check in with us.” So, I went inside and asked to speak to a manager. He said there’s a chalk board that says to check in. Wieslers is awesome! I love the restaurant's historic charm (with a large antique bar, cash register, and old general store tables/benches). It is walkable to all of the downtown Cedarburg shops, but still has it's own parking lot and ways to avoid the downtown traffic. This restaurant/bar has great food and all the drinks options and rotating taps! We have gone here for their fish fry several times, and each fish option has been very yummy!
