Since I live very close to this place I wanted to check it out. My girlfriend and I walked there and there is no curb appeal to this place, no visible signs on the building that are easy to read at night , and a small chalkboard sign on the sidewalk. We met the hostess and sat outside. There are no decorations, inside was not really decorated in any theme or anything. We sat outside, again, no decorations other than the lights, no tv’s outside by the outdoor bar, very bland again. It took 10 minutes for our server to come to order drinks. Beer selection was decent, and that part of our service was pretty fast. We ordered the nachos and I would bet that based on the way the chips and cheese were that it was microwaved. We were also given cheap plastic plates. Are you out of your mind? I have never seen that at a brew house or any real respectable restaurant. I was highly disappointed in that. We both ordered burgers, up to this point still never got silverware we asked for and our server forgot the ranch we asked for. Burger was average. Under seasoned. Also, toast the bun please, my bun was saturated to the point it is unacceptable. I ordered the bbq burger and i was disappointed. The presentation looked like it was thrown together quick. The candied bacon does not really work on the burger either. Overall, my first time there I was starkly disappointed. It seems like it was rushed open and the restaurant was an after thought. I want this place to be good and I am giving it 3 stars and thinking a lot of this stuff is growing pains. I urge you to make some changes to this place, I truly want it to be a place I can walk to and get a good meal and drink but at this point I will still go to the Mexican place off Quebec.
Update: it gets worse every time I go there. Slower service, more expensive, and dirty tables and menus and glasses. This should have been a cheeba hut. I am pretty much done with this place and luckily this area has a lot of better...
Read moreVisited I.C. Brewhouse for the first time yesterday for dinner and a beer and had a decent meal and was able to watch the hockey game on the many screens available in the restaurant. I did not know that this restaurant was tucked away back in this part of the neighborhood, so thankful that we know about it now.
We arrived during the middle of the dinner rush and were able to get a table quickly. We asked the hostess for a table where we could see the hockey game, and she set us up with a great table. There are so many screens here that I do not know if there would be a bad one.
We ordered the fried cheese curds as an appetizer. The cheese was tasty, but we did not like the sauce that came with it, so we asked for some ranch and our waiter took care of us.
For dinner I was hungry for a burger so I ordered their BBQ burger. Their burgers are a 1/2 pound burger and this one came with candied bacon, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, and an onion ring, along with the lettuce, pickle, tomato, and red onion. My burger was cooked just like I requested and had great flavors. It was also huge and I was not able to finish the whole burger.
If you are not into fries they will sub out the regular fries for a wide variety of other items, I got the tater tots and they were delicious. You can get truffle fries, sweet potato fries, or even a side salad.
My wife got the chicken fingers and they were amazing. It looked more like a chicken breast than a chicken tenderloin. They tasted great and she was very pleased with our meal.
This is a fun place to come and get a beer off their extensive beer menu and watch the game in a casual atmosphere. A nice place to grab a meal and watch...
Read moreFood was OK but our server David made the entire experience unpleasant. Unfortunately customer service is almost more important than the food sometimes considering the world we live in nowadays and when spending almost $70 on two entrées and an appetizer I expect our server to at least be friendly. Walked in the restaurant and stood at the hostess stand for 10 minutes before we even saw one single employee, finally David came out to greet us and just seemed irritated that he was even helping in the first place. The service never got better throughout our whole dining experience as I had to wave him down just even get a refill on my drink. Every time we had an interaction with David he seemed unhappy and appeared that he didn’t want to be there, never really making iContact, dropping the food off and running away before we could even get a chance to ask for things like extra silverware and sauces for dipping, or even having to wave him down just to get a napkin and a straw. Originally I wasn’t going to leave this review but at the end of our service, David came over and just said the total of our bill out loud as of I’m supposed to just pull my payment out without looking at a receipt. When I asked for a receipt he appeared irritated then walked off with attitude to print it out and once he did he hovered over our table until I got my debit card out and then leaned in to over look what tip I was entering into the handheld computer screen that he provided for me. Super uncomfortable and awkward. Will not be returning after this...
