Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Center Township

Hello Food Fanatics! My name is Brian Katana, my friends call me Mr. Pepsi...I wanted to take a minute to share my Applebee's experience with off of u!

I was reading the reviews many of you, the customers left, and I wanted to be honest & share my personal feelings on my experiences I've had goin to Applebee's. I've been goin to Applebee's in Monaca for a few years now, and in that time I've gotten to know Shawn the Manager, Jason Schlott a manager, Brittany the Bartender...and the list of employees names goes on...and again in that time, I've had good experiences & not so good...BUT...the times of "not so good"...a few times I ordered food and the dish came out cold...instead of making an unnecessary scene, I just politely informed the staff about the issue, and the employees ALWAYS were cool & made my meal right. And the employees NEVER gave me grief, NEVER complained or argued...hell we even shared a good chuckle & again the staff went above & beyond to correct any issues I may have had. Let's be honest folks, I'm not the type of customer who looks for bad issues to get free food meal...im the type of customer who goes in & wants a good, hot tasty meal...if the meal isn't right, they fix it, simple right...THAT is why I continue to go there, the willingness to make customers happy & help any way they can. Along with the good experiences, just as I too mentioned, the staff are always cool, willing to walk over to a customer & give that personal hello and makes anyone who comes in feel welcomed, that's totally awesome in my book!

In conclusion, give the Applebee's a chance...sure we aren't all perfect, but why I continue to keep goin there is the friendliness I receive & the willingness the staff gives me to keep me goin back. If anyone disagrees with my review it's all good...the other option you have is Door Dash, $45 for a hamburger & drink...and if ur lucky, ul get the food once in awhile if the driver doesn't eat it. 😂

I used to enjoy a night out to dinner at Apple bees near my home town. Went there frequently over a span of 17yrs . Food and service always good. Portion size well worth it. Mostly ordered the same thing every visit. My experience at the Monaca location not very positive. Hardly any customers there but we waited over forty minutes to even get a server. We finally waved and got the managers attention and we're told they were in the middle of a shift change. There was a staff member sitting at the bar playing on there phone the entire time we waited but apparently they were not on the clock yet. That staff member eventually took our order . When our dinners came the portion size were shameful. Mind you , I have ate the same dinner at different locations for over fifteen years or more. The staff employee had told us the manager was very cheap and had them cut all the portion sizes down. We brought up the portion size to the managers attention and he was apologetic and did give us a discount on the bill. I commend him for that. But that's not enough to bring my family back to that location again. I would prefer to drive to another location or somewhere else instead of visiting the Monaca location ever again. Just to many failures at this location in my honest opinion to be worth...

We normally avoid Applebees because it has gone down hill in the past 10+ years. We decided to give it another try but will not be returning.

The food portions are smaller than what it used to be, prices high for quality and quantity, and the service is lacking.

We went there last weekend to wait to be seated because the hostess was sweeping, which is understandable but there was 5+ guests waiting to be seated. Our server forgot to get a refill when asked and forgot to bring the mixed drink. The manager had to bring it. She then jokingly said "at least I didnt forgot to put your order in". She then continued the whole stay joking about not bringing stuff, such as "Do you want another water" I replied no. She said "well good because I probably would have forgot to bring it to you anyways". I understand she was trying to be funny, but forgetting items is not funny. I only said no because she forgot our other refill for awhile and joked about it. We saw another table receiving the same service with another waitress, but they were more rude about it. The waitress said "push the button on the screen for call server" and the woman replied "I shouldn't have to push a button for you to check up on us"

Anyways, we will not be returning. The service and food has not changed...
