Hi, Stacy here, responding to Kristy's review from earlier today. When I called yesterday to inquire about making a reservation, the very nice girl on the phone told me about the bill paying and how it had to be split and how they couldn't separate all the bills and told me she would have to check with her manager to make sure they could fit our party in on such short notice and said she would call me back which I agreed to. After talking to the rest of my group, we were unsure how many people were actually going and what time each of is would be able to get there. I called the nice lady back and told her this exact info and told her not to worry about the reservation. Never was anything mentioned about being short staffed or how we would have to wait for food, it would not have mattered as we were in no hurry. Today, a few of our group decided to go to your place for drinks, I was not there when that took place. The nice waitress said she could accommodate them. After I got there, I placed a drink order at the bar with another friend and started a tab. No problems. While we were all sitting there, enjoying our drinks, a big gentleman came out and ask if stacy was here and I raised my hand yes, he rudely proceeded to tell me that I was "warned" that they were short staffed (I wasn't, it was never brought up) and was told about the bill process with groups. I didn't argue that, because I was told that. However, the bartender/waitress was willing to take separate orders before I even got there. He came out with an attitude that pretty much stunned us all. We would have definitely done the billing process however they wanted us to, but were not given the chance to even to say that. One of our group asked if we were being kicked out and he told us yes, your drinks are on us, and that was it. So yes, you did kick us out. I feel bad for the waitress and hope she didn't feel his wrath after we left. There was absolutely no one there except us and we had no problem waiting on food or anything else, but instead, we left and took our business elsewhere. To the lady I spoke to yesterday and to the waitress, I'm sorry, because you were nothing but helpful. To the gentleman that rudely addressed me and our group, I hope your day got better, and that you one day realize you shouldn't talk to paying customers like that. We were really just looking to kick back and have a few drinks and some food, apparently that was too...
Read moreFor our first ever time trying this restaurant, I was unfortunately very displeased. Throughout the poor attitude from both our server and the manager, we encountered many unpleasant interactions, but two major issues stood out for me. One being an issue over the inconsistent need for IDs to serve alcohol. I completely understand the severity of the consequences a restaurant could face for serving someone underage, so there was no immediate argument over the refusal to serve someone (in their 30’s) in our party without their license. That member had a picture of her license and several forms of credit cards to verify her identity, but the server still refused and was quite rude about it… whatever, we moved forward. However, when more people arrived to join our party, a young couple were not ID’d which completely negated the earlier conversation. The second issue which is honestly very concerning is that my chicken salad (which was VERY delicious) had a HUGE chunk of plastic in it. I had gotten halfway through my meal when I pulled the piece out of my mouth. The plastic shard was larger than a half dollar coin and was clearly a broken piece. I am extremely frustrated with myself for not taking a picture because my concern was greater than the managers. When I addressed the manager, I greatly stressed how much I was enjoying the salad and was more so concerned about where the other piece of the broken plastic was. The manager was on the phone with the owner in front of me, rudely bad-mouthing my party and gave me a lot of attitude and zero concern over the plastic. She said she took the salad off our bill and gave me a new receipt, but the new printed copy didn’t reflect any change. When I told her that the salad wasn’t taken off she genuinely YELLED back at me saying “yes, it was.” I showed her the old copy and new copy (with time stamps) stating that they were the same price and she said “well then it printed wrong.” She stormed back to the register and continued to be rude instead of showing any remorse or concern over the HUNK of plastic I had just about eaten… Overall extremely upset that I had originally been raving about the food and left canceling my recommendations. We moved onto other bars where we talked with other staff members who had also heard that 113North had poor...

The good news: The food is still good The bad news: Customer service is horrible
A few moths ago I ordered a meal to be picked up. The boneless rib sandwich was found to have bones in it when bitten into. I called to make them aware of this and the manager on duty said she would note a credit in my name I could use anytime in the future equal to the price of the sandwich. Very kind and professional I thought.
Disappointment #1 Fast forward to today, I decided to stop in and take advantage of my credit. I made the waitress aware of the pending credit and her manager stated that they do not track nor honor any "credits" for customers.
Disappointment #2 When our entrees were served, only my wife got hers. About the time my wife finished hers, my waitress came to let me know that they were out of my order, the bulgogi bao. So much for having an entree. At least the manager was kind enough to "discount" the price of my entree I never received from the bill. Back of house and front of house communication is clearly lacking.
Disappointment #3 Despite an almost entirely empty inside and half capacity at best on outside seating, service was very slow despite numerous employees being present. Our waitress appeared to be the only person working tables so I can not blame her.
Summary: If you want some interesting food, 113 North is still worth a visit. If you expect excellent customer service, respect and an great experience, pass this place by. It is a shame to see what was once an amazing restaurant become such a disappointment due to a lack of leadership, purpose and loss of customer service values.
2020 Friendly staff that knows the menu well. The menu is small with a very nice selection. The food tasted fresh and was prepared with attention to detail. The prices are typical of a gastro pub. The food is delicious enough that it feels worth every penny. It was a warm night and the restaurant inside felt almost as steamy as it was outside. Most likely due to servers constantly in and out for the outdoor seating. This will become a regular...
