I was coming off of a migraine attack so the noise inside when we came in was intolerable. Huge high ceilings and open space with lots of chatty happy people makes for an echo effect that’ll decimate you if you have light or noise sensitivity. Lucky for us they have a lovely outside seating area so we could stay. We had to wait inside a moment while the hostess wiped down a table outside and we were greeted by two more people who made sure we were being helped so the staff overall is really polite and on point.
Waitress Alicia had lots of good recommendations and was friendly without being overbearing. The menu was really interesting to me as far as flavors and I thought their kids menu also looked good (for when we come back and bring the boy). I can’t drink alcohol when I’m near a migraine so I was also pleased they had a reasonable non-alcohol selection. Husband likes the beers. We decided on guacamole and crab queso for starters. Guacamole had pineapple and a really fresh taste but could benefit from a bit more salt and lime. I could have married that queso though. Warm, creamy, crunchy toasted topping, and cheese? Divine!
Mains were Thai Chicken Sandwich with a side salad and stir fried veggies for me and the Luau burger with Parmesan truffle fries for my husband. I found the side salad delicious (I’m adding mandarin oranges to my salads from now on) but difficult to eat from the tiny bowl. The veggies were tasty but also weirdly stuffed into an almost too small serving dish. The Thai burger was a knockout—perfectly crispy chicken and bun, delicious crunchy slaw, and spicy the flavor instead of spicy the painful sensation. Husband’s burger was also very good—best for those of you who can unhinge your jaw to take the huge bites necessary to pack in all the ingredients to a bite! Fries were okay—they lacked something but I couldn’t tell what exactly. We got the key lime pie to go and while my husband thought it was tart I could have tolerated even more tartness. Very creamy and flavorful with a lovely crunch in the base.
Overall I give them lots of points for their people and food but I’d worry even on a good day the inside would be too loud. For two of us with two appetizers, two mains, two beers, two lemonades, and a dessert to go it was $80ish before tip so maybe on the higher end for some but I think they earned it. Can’t wait to come again to...
Read moreI want to start by saying that our service was great. Our waitress was new and she did wonderful. If she didn't know she told us that much and went to ask. The restaurant itself is nice, open, and it was clean. I was here once when they first opened so I was a little disappointed with the menu. It wasn't as expansive as I remembered. There also were not a ton of allergy friendly options even though the menu makes a big deal about telling your waiter. We went on a Tuesday night, which is now a night they are running special Grilled Cheese menu. This is where the big issue is. We were not told until we were getting ready to order that they do not offer burgers on Tuesday night. Quite a lot of us in our group were wanting to order one. As someone with a dairy and gluten allergy a burger without a bun is usually my best food option. We were also told they didn't have the vegan burger, which was another problem because one person in our group is vegan. That is literally the ONLY vegan option on the menu because a $20 salad without chicken. In this day and again this is absurd. There should be more allergen friendly options on the menu especially if you are offering Grilled Cheese, which is 100% not allergy friendly. The manager did "Find" some vegan burgers so my friend and I were able to eat, but the entire thing was just crazy. I went back to look at their social media and there is no mention of not serving burgers on Grilled Cheese night anywhere that I could find. Highly suggest that they have that more in the forefront or have the hostess telling people as they are seated. The cranberry seltzer was really good. The vegan burger was pretty good and I appreciated that you could make out the different ingredients. I do wish they'd offer a gluten free bun. A burger is just not a burger without a bun. Fries were...
Read moreI loveeee this place. They always have a great beer selection and I can’t say I’ve ever had a beer I didn’t like. The foooood is great as well, my favorites being the Thai style chicken sandwich, Korean chicken wings, and the LEB Smashburger; you can tell someone really cared about the menu and the cooks take pride in their work. The bar manager has always been kind and professional to me and CJ is sweet as can be. They put on several different events throughout the year and they’re usually a good time; I’ve attended their plant sale and music trivia nights. I can’t say enough nice things about this place, please give them all your money!!!

I used to utterly love this place, anyone saying they don’t have good beer is lying to you so they can keep it to themselves. They changed the entire service model and now everything is impersonal and it feels like I gotta beg for service. They bring me food, I used to get napkins but now I just get food, nobody asks if I need anything else at any point in time. That’s not the same at allllll! You had excellent staff that carried themselves well and you swapped them out to charge people the same price for less value? Cmonnnnn guys. I hate swapping humans out for automation but even still, I’m not sure this was the best edition of it. A helpful critique would be, maybe allow folks to order from their phones and permanently number each table. This way folks can ask for things they need or opt to give you more money without giving you free labor.
If you need help with my helpful critique, I’m sure there’s a nearby managed IT service provider that would love...
