Not only will I no longer eat at this location, I actively encourage everyone to do themselves a favor and avoid this place. The food is overpriced and consistently undersized, and multiple times I've payed $2.39 to add guacamole but not received a single drop of guac. I've been very frustrated for these 3 reasons the past several times I've come here over the past 3 or so years and it's only gotten worse. I've continued to try hoping it will get better but I've run out of patience. I won't be trying again.
Just 10 years ago I could buy a Mixed Breakfast Burrito for $3.29 and add guac for $.50 for a grand total of $3.79. That was killer value for a giant burrito. Obviously things get more expensive over time, but I absolutely cannot justify spending $8.67 (nearly 3x increase) nor $2.39 for guac (nearly 5x increase). A $3.79 burrito should not cost $11.97 (incl tax). It's just crazy to me.
It's even crazier when I consider that the burritos are consistently and noticeably smaller than they used to be. Like, at least 25% smaller. For 3x the price. Craziness.
The last few times I've gone, I've requested and paid for adding guacamole to the burrito. And when I get home and go to eat my burrito, I find there's not a single smidge of guacamole in it. Now I understand that I could drive back across town, show them the burrito and my receipt and get a new burrito, but I don't have a half hour to burn in travel and wait time. I already spent that time once and have other things to do. This last time, I called back in and discussed it with the cashier. She said she would refund the price of the guac and I have her my receipt number. She said it would be no problem. However, the charge on my card was never changed and no refund ever came through. That's a hard pill to swallow when it's a whopping $2.39 for a just a smear of guac and the guac wasn't even provided.
For those reasons, and the fact that each of those reasons has worsened over the past 3 years, I will no longer come to this...
Read moreRancheritos is awesome! What great food! I've eaten here a bunch and never been disappointed! The price is super reasonable and the portion size is extra large! Most recently I branched out from my typical go-to items, (the delicious California burrito or the classic Carne Asada burrito) to get the Steak Ranchero plate. I'm telling you, it's for man-sized appetites! You won't be disappointed! 2 eggs, a pile of steak, beans and rice. The steak was super moist and tender - I only had good pieces, none of those pieces of grimy grizzle you find elsewhere. You can't go wrong with anything here.
Here's how it stacks up against the competition:
-way cleaner than Beto's -way quicker and less expensive than La Hacienda -way fresher, healthier, and tastier than La Frontera or La Puente -open later and serving more generous portions than Costa Vida or Cafe Rio -more authentic Mexican flavor than Taco Bell, Del Taco, or Taco Time (duh!) -friendliest staff around
Seriously! The employees took good care of me and made sure I had what I needed. I didnt have to stand around the counter forever like an idiot waiting for someone to notice me.
It's a great place to grab some...
Read moreRobot spamming!! It's 7:30 AM and I wanted a breakfast burrito so I drove up to the drive-thru window and a man's voice said it was ready for my order as soon as I was ready to order. I put in my order...silence... I asked for the total...silence...I respectfully waited 5-10 minutes(I've worked fast food, I know things can take time), then backed up and pulled forward and the same voice said the exact same thing. It was a recording!! Rancheritos wasn't even open!! Breakfast burritos at Rancheritos is not unreasonable at 7:30 AM, I've never seen them closed at this time but instead of a recording stating they were closed or no recording at all I was just robot trolled! Please remove that recording asap! If you're not open silence is fine, if you absolutely have to have a recording try "We'd love to serve you but we're not open right now, we'll open at _" that's so much better than wasting people's time. The next day I went to...
