Fast service, food was great. Fries were amazing. Fries did not even need a condiment…And that brings me to my 4 star rating. Now they don’t know that I know about their pre-shift meetings where they plan and scheme ways to hand out as little of the red sauce as possible. First step in todays plan was to hand off the bag with food and fries inside as quickly as possible. Using speed to their advantage they had their window closed before I was able to get both hands on the bag, the sounds of their thank you still echoing off the interior glass. Holding my position, I stared at my reflection in the glass with bag in hand, trying not to break eye contact with myself. Not the real showdown began. My impatience and embarrassment vs their customer clock for the driver behind me. The original attendant at the window was now onto me. After a pause to double check my commitment level for the tiny packets, she sends over backup. Her command to him is a simple “See what they want!” He comes to the window. I express my desire for the red sauce. At this point their hands are tied. They have to relent as stated in the customer service handbook. But that doesn’t mean he has to go down easy. He reaches down and grabs one packet and very sincerely asks if that is enough. Looking for some middle ground I ask for more. Three more packets appear in his hand and I agree to the deal. I drive off with instant regret that I didn’t push harder since I had a large fry. But at this point I truly feel like Wendy’s takes these ketchup packets out of the workers checks. I averaged around 23 fries per packet. My goal next time is to get that number down...
Read moreWendy's is never going to be a staple on my fast food list. I've experienced too much inconsistency between different locations as I've been on my summer road trips over the past several years. As a result, my expectations of Wendy's were lowered, and I've quit visiting the brand's locations. That said, this visit went fine. The food was good and as expected by my grandkids. No disappointments! That surprised me! With past experiences I did expect some kind of problem with the food. We didn't have that. There was a slight problem with the order, as one item was missing and we had to return to the drive up and get this corrected. That happens occasionally at any restaurant and I expect it now and then. It didn't negatively affect my opinion on this visit. So the bottom line is that this Wendy's earned four stars. I begin my ratings at three stars. Indicating my expectations were met. When I'm disappointed, stars are lost. When I'm pleasantly surprised stars are added. I'll expect this food quality now. Wendy's has a chance to earn back my business by maintaining...
Read moreI pulled up to the drive through and asked very nicely like I always do when I go through drive through's if they still made frosty floats. Now I know the answer is usually no, but sometimes If I ask and offer to pay more they usually will. But I guess the Centerville Wendy's only hires stuck up snobby little punks. He said in the most disrespectful and entitled little punk way "" we haven't made those in like 3 years." As if me simply asking a question was causing him so much inconvenience. Then I asked if he could make one for me and yells again in a cry baby little Bit* way " NO".... Even if they said no we cant im sorry, Its cool I totally understand. I just order and small frosty and small drink and make one myself. But this little brat made me lose my appetite by the way he spoke to me. Ill NEVER go back to that Wendy's. Nobody in customer service should be talking to people that way. I realize its a random dude at Wendy's but even if some random dude spoke to me like that out of a workplace I wouldn't hesitate to slap some respect in that peppy...
