I'm always excited to try new places, especially knowing that I can park my 18-wheeler outside and keep an eye on it on busy streets not particularly designed to accommodate such vehicles. (I parked in front of the cementery) I originally wanted the chicken fried steak and eggs, but sadly, for me, that's just a breakfast time dish. I asked for the most requested burger, and she informed me that it is one of the combos. I asked for one combo with an oreo shake for an additional upcharge. Keep in mind that its posted on their wall that the oreo shake is the shake of the month, and as an oreo enthusiast myself, when I see a sign with oreo shakes, SIGN ME IN . Upon arrival, the burger looks great, and the fries looked... meh. It seems like they put seasoning on them, but you could actually count how many grains of seasoning landed on my fries, so it rendered it pointless to even have seasoning on them. 1st bite, and I proceeded to immediately use the salt and pepper to bring up the little flavor the meat has. I asked for mayo to make the world's famous mayo ketchup sauce to dip my unseasoned fries in. Eventually, my oreo shake arrived. 1st sip, and it takes like milk with a hint of oreo... hmm, perhaps I need to stir it a bit more, second and third try, and now I'm convinced that they just didn't put enough oreos in it. When I brought my complaint to the lady with the unnatural long eyelashes about my shake barely having any oreo flavor, she said that it had A LOT oreos in it and just walked off. I proceeded to eat the rest of my food and left the "shake of the month" on the counter So, conclusion: -Lousy oreo shake -Ok-ish burger -Lame customer service.
I wish I had gone to the family restaurant that's...
Read moreI couldn't eat it all. We ordered a milkshake, marshmallow flavored and oreo. SO good! Yes order one! They recently were voted "best burgers in Lewis County" and I believe it! Saturday evening, with a line at the drive thru, we ate inside. The food arrived quicker than expected, cooked to order. The chicken supreme sandwich is made on toasted sour dough with tomato and lettuce and pickles. The deluxe burger with cheese came with your choice of onions, (raw), pickles, lettuce, tomato and mayo. And cheese, too. The fries were done to perfection and the burger and chicken excellent! We will frequenting many more times as its better than the common fast food chains and it helps make the dream come true for a family operated business. In business since 1962. Truly a classic timepiece of Americana small restaurants! Even red topped chrome bar stools! Three tables for 4, the large front bar, and two small bars near the door. Excellent food. Friendly staff! Left an extra healthy tip because these young ladies were giving up their Saturday night to work. Order ahead "to go" online. Everything can be to go. Yes, we are returning and hope to dine here for years to come! They make their own fry...
Read moreSo when I was little I loved coming here with my auntie. So tonight I thought I should go now I live in town again and I should of known it would be a bad experience when the first thing that was said to me was keep in mind we close in ten minutes so be quick about it. After that I order a regular burger fry and Pepsi no ice I start looking for my card and the girl walks away and dosnt say anything so I wait for her to come back and she hands me a Pepsi full of ice. Now that wasn't an issue until I got home for my burger to be cold my fries really cold and tasted like you dumped a whole jar of spat on them and my onions to be raw. I just moved into my house so I don't have any food and I shared my sons happy meal with him and took some fry's and a nugget from him because my food wasn't helping my pregnancy nausea. I gave it a two star only because I'm sure it was just an off night but come on people your not closed until the open sign is off and the last coustomer should be treated with the same respect and great customer service the first one had when...
