If you are like me and you're trying to give up bread, the unwich is one of the best lettuce wraps out there. It only comes in one size (regular, about 8 inches) and usually, it is double wrapped and the second wrapping is very tight so you can peel it down and eat it like a hoagie. Sometimes they wrap the paper into the unwich, so this does not always work out, unless you like (no judging!) to eat paper. Some advice, do not add a lot of wetter veggies and condiments; so if you like mayo and mustard, go light on both.
I've only visited three times, but the veggies are usually fresh. Today, the onion was a bit pungent, like maybe it was leftover from yesterday and wasn't property put away overnight; but, that's normal for all fast food restaurants. The Jimmy peppers are not your average fast food "spicy", they actually have some kick and great flavor, so skip them if you do not do spicy food. Fun fact, you can add them to any sandwich/unwich for free, along with a list of other veggies. I've had both regular and Jimmy mustard, but I did not notice a difference, so it must be subtle or my order was made wrong. They have a couple choices some other places do not have, such as capicola and dijon, but I would like to see carrots and chicken salad added to the menu someday.
I have only done drive through, but my limited experience with the employees has always been friendly and nice. Also, the bread appears to be fresh baked in store daily as you can smell it when waiting for your order, which is terrible if you have given up bread, and mouth-watering if you ordered a sandwich!
They have their own terms, most of which are easy to get, but just in case here are a few tips: Jimmy peppers are pickled cherry peppers, Favorites are double meat and cheese, Slims are just meat and cheese, Little Johns are half a regular sandwich, Gargantuan is twice the size of a regular sandwich, Sides are pickles or chips or cookies, and French bread is really just a loaf of bread (pick it up on the way to spaghetti nite and eat some for me!)
The rewards program seems decent, you get a free wich pretty quickly the first time and a free wich for your birthday. But I am not sure what all you get as it does not tell you until you earn it. After buying 6 unwiches, I have earned 2 pickles but I have not tried to redeem them yet.
Finally, I have to agree with some other reviews the amount of meat and cheese seems to be lacking, especially in the wiches that claim to have double meat and cheese and charge more for it. I do not think my order today was correct, as I paid for double meat and cheese ("Favorites" menu) but only had two slices of meat and one slice of cheese in...
Read moreI really enjoy Jimmy Johns food. I always order the same thing for my family of 5. I had the worst customer service experience at this JJ location than I have ever experienced at a take out establishment. I went into the store and ordered 5 sandwiches, all but one with a meal. The cost of our order was $75 which is expensive but standard for what we usually pay for dinner at JJ. My initial visit was fine but when I got home and we started eating, we found that 3 of our sandwiches were missing several requested add ons. My husband and I both got the beach club as always and it was missing add ons as well as the avocado spread that comes on it. My youngest sons sandwhich was also made incorrectly. I returned to JJ with the sandwiches and explained that they were made incorrectly. The gentleman at the register proceeded to rifle through the sandwiches proclaiming that there is avocado spread and it's just in between the cheese so you can't see it. I told him there was no spread on either of our sandwiches and we had taken several bites and the spread was missing. He was rude and made comments about how they are half eaten which I thought was unnecessary. We did not inspect them before we began to eat and it took us a few bites to realize things were missing. Not only was he rude and rifled through the sandwiches ( hopefully his gloves were clean) but he argued with me about what was on the sandwiches even after I had said it was made wrong. He refused to simply remake them. There were other people in the store and it was embarrassing and I didn't want to hold others up so I just wrapped my sandwiches back up, took the side orders of veggies and left again. My husband and I finished our sandwiches at home and there was no avocado spread on the sandwiches. Other than the issues with service, the food was good. Will not be going back to this location due to the disappointing...
Read moreJimmy John’s in Centralia, WA, is a great spot for a quick and satisfying meal. I recently stopped by and ordered the Italian Night Club and Club Tuna sandwiches, and as usual, they did not disappoint. Both sandwiches were delicious, made with fresh, quality ingredients, and served in the signature style that keeps me coming back to Jimmy John’s. The bread was fresh, the flavors were balanced, and everything tasted just right.
The service here was impressively quick, which is exactly what you want when you’re on a tight schedule. The staff was friendly and efficient, greeting customers with a smile and ensuring orders were correct and ready in no time. The location itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a pleasant atmosphere for those who choose to dine in.
One feature that really stands out is the drive-thru. It’s incredibly convenient, especially if you place your order online beforehand. I ordered through the app, and by the time I arrived, my food was ready to go. This added level of convenience is a big plus for this location, making it a great choice for anyone in a hurry.
Overall, I’d give this Jimmy John’s a solid 4/5 stars. The food and service were excellent, and the added convenience of the drive-thru makes it a top choice for quick meals. While everything was great, there’s always room for a little extra touch to make it truly outstanding. Still, it’s definitely a spot I’ll keep...
