The Hub Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Centralia

This is my second visit and last! It was such a disappointment compared to what you see on TikTok. Below average food, cleanliness and rude staff. We returned on a $50 credit that was given because the service the first time was so horrible. it took two hours just to get one plate of food for four people. We were watching one old lady walk back-and-forth in the kitchen clueless and one waitress who ran the bar and the tables as this all transpired. We had a couple drinks each. And finally after two hours we called it and whoever was in charge said this is on us. We then call the manager the next day and she said, “yeah I heard you walked out on the bill.”. Excuse me! I will go back and pay you live and in person on TikTok to which she said “no, no, no. Bad choice of words. So today, we arrived and it was busy. We placed our order and had mentioned to our waitress that we had a credit given to us to return. She said I will check on that and if I don’t see it I’ll call my manager. After about an hour I asked how long it had been since we ordered and she said, well it’s really busy and we don’t really have a lot of space to cook in the kitchen. Meanwhile, we saw one table served the wrong food. The family next to them said that is our food. Once the waitress came out she asked what happened. They said that’s their food not ours. Her response was “well, that’s the number that was on the ticket.” No apology. I heard other tables starting to complain about the wait and the waitress said it’s just busy. Our food came out from this older rude waitress who crassly said “who ordered the French toast.” I silently raised my hand. We ate the mediocre food and when I was finished she picked up our plates and while walking away rudely said, “your bill has been taken care of”. No personal service knowing they screwed up the first time and failed the second time around. Save your time and money. RUDE STAFF! Mediocre food. Don’t believe the Hype!!! EDIT: I went back here on a Friday evening for dinner and drinks with a friend. They had karaoke, which was cute watching kids sing. The server we had was less than pleasant. The place was far from busy, yet she seemed as though she did not want to be there. Once we got our food and drinks, she never came back to check on us. Next, we knew she was leaving as I assumed her shift was over. The male bar tender never once acknowledged us, and we sat there for over an hour after receiving our food and drinks. He walked past us numerous times, never looking our way. He seemed much more concerned with the young people who were standing at the bar. I had high hopes for the place. I do not think I will return again on a Friday as there seems to be a certain type of crowd that is catered to, and if you don't fit into that genre, you are ignored.

Very cozy atmosphere and staff was wonderful. I ordered the shrimp basket, which came with a fair amount of great fries. I also ordered the Fresh berry shortcake dessert special. It was beyond amazing. It came with 3 shortcakes, layered with vanilla cream, fresh blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, whipped topping, and drizzled with a strawberry sauce I sure hope they bring that back. I hate that I have to leave a low star review. I was so excited for the hub to be back, and I have given it several tries. The food is great, yay, but it takes a little more than that. Over and over again we come in to overwhelmed front of house, often lone bartenders also playing the role of waiter, food runner, busser, you name it. It makes me feel guilty for being there adding to their impossible job of doing it all, but they still manage to be nice. But this is if I can be a patron at all. It’s advertised 7am-2am. I came to grab quick breakfast at 7 the other day, and the place was closed. It wasn’t till almost 7:30 that doors were unlocked and I could come in. I came at 1:20 AM because I was working late and was so glad to have the hub there for a late night round of wings to go, and… well, after walking over in the rain, I get there and it’s locked up tight 40 minutes early. There was a Facebook post acknowledging issues weeks ago, yet nothing changes? I’m really hoping things smooth out, because the hub used to be a priceless place for early morning or for late nights, and it just isn’t cutting it as it stands.
