The woman on the speaker took about 5 minutes to come to the mic despite multiple attempts to hail them. Once she got there, she sounded Asian. She was impatient and switched to the back speaker and took their order, came back to us and totally messed up our order. We ordered two quarter pounders with cheese, no pickle no onion on an app deal buy one get one free. She added three of the same burger and told us to pull up. When we got around to the third window, to my surprise, there was a truck waiting for their food. I didn't know there was anyone ahead of us. It took another 5 minutes for them to get their food. When they left there was a Hispanic woman at the window. She asked what our order was and we told her the two qp/c. She asked if it was just two? Not three? And we said just two. Everyone in the McDonald's was acting flustered and in a crazy hurry. We had two Uber orders and everyone was so busy rushing around they didn't hear us. We wanted to add large fries too on rewards, so free large fries. The Hispanic woman said sure, then said they couldn't because the system went down. But it had already taken her points. Then an African girl came to the window and enquired about the three burgers, I mean two burgers, and asked for the Uber number again. Yelled at us for not telling her sooner about the Uber orders, complained that she only had two (they were both ours).she leaves for several minutes and the Hispanic girl comes back with the two burgers, however the pattys were dry and tough. The buns sort of chewy. Aren't the qps supposed to be cooked fresh every time? Then she came back with more excuses to not give us fries. Demanded cash. And left the window again. Several more minutes go by and she returns with an unmarked bag telling us which order number it is. She leaves again returning several minutes later with another bag and their receipt like normal. Still no fries. I tell her the app already burned her points, they should give us fries. Ignored. Guy behind us starts honking because we've been sitting there for 10-15 minutes. Usually this McDonald's isn't this bad. But...
Read moreMcDonald's restaurant number 18702, 12700 Shoppes Ln, Fairfax, VA, needs some serious training: both in process, and in attitude. In April, I tried to redeem a buy-one-get-one coupon for any sandwich deal using a receipt I had received with the validation code (from the Survey) on the receipt. When I tried to redeem the coupon, the man at the counter said that it was not a proper receipt. (He called over Jose, who also said that I could not use this because it wasn't a receipt.) At the same time, I used my mobile app to purchase a latte, and the receipt attached to my latte was EXACTLY the same as the one I tried to redeem. I asked to speak to the manager and after any interminable wait, a woman came out, said her name was Marie (unlikely), and said "no it's not a receipt so we can't take it." I showed her the receipt that I had just gotten for my latte order (again, the EXACT same type of receipt that she refused to take). She walked away and would not come back. Finally, another two women came out--Carolina had a manager badge on her shirt, and the other woman did not, but seemed like a manager. They finally took my order and took the BOGO receipt. This was very upsetting and I thought that McD's would like to know. A further frustration is that McDonalds did NOTHING to address the issue: I sent a detailed complaint to McDonalds: Case number 29484951. I heard nothing back from anyone, and the case was closed without ever giving me an answer. I sent several follow-up's and, each time, they were closed without any response. Today, I queried them again, and I got a response that "Due to not receiving a response in the past 72 hours, this case has been closed." I would hope that the McDonald's Franchise Manager would like to know that one of their stores was proving service far below that expected of a McDonalds. I certainly will not shop at this McDonalds again. I will urge anyone and everyone to also avoid this unskilled, bad...
Read moreI absolutely love love love the morning crew here. The 5 stars go to them.
If I go, I usually get a steak egg and cheese bagel with a hashbrown with extra sauce added.
One day, I ordered the usual, paid and reviewed my order. I went to park so I could eat. Noticed the hash brown was not in the bag. So I scarfed up the sandwich ( I work all night so I am usually starved) went back to the drive through. I didn't get a receipt and explained that if they could check the order, because if I didn't pay for it, then all is well. They didn't ask for a receipt or to my knowledge pull it up through the computer. They told me second window and gave me a bag. That was easy. So I went to park to finish things off and found 2 hashbrowns. That was super nice!
On the other hand, the late night closing crew is pretty awful. I have only came out three times late night, weeks a part and every time I order, there is a guy who sounds like he just doesn't care, about anything really. I pay. He doesn't say anything. I proceed to the next window get the order. I know it takes more time that late at night (I used to work at mcdonalds ten years ago) but when I open the bag and look at the food, it is dried out. You can tell the burgers were not anywhere close to the holding times before being discarded. They hold the food too long. Which begs the question, if you are holding the food after they expire, why is it still taking 10 minutes to get it out of the window. Remembering the days of closing shifts, it seems like trying to get all the closing done is taking precedent over the orders, food quality and customer service. Just from a customer and former Florida employee perspective.
But, I do love the morning crew and they more and make up for it which is why 5 stars, plus I know it takes time to get the right crew in place and things...
