QATA Peruvian Cuisine — Restaurant in Centreville

5 Stars: definitely a repeat spot

TL;DR: Great chicken, sides, and portions

This area was in need for some more Peruvian chicken spots, and this place is great!

SERVICE: I have always called ahead/ordered online, so cannot speak for the wait times inside, but my husband mentioned that when he ordered in store, it took a little longer. I think this is due to them making a lot of things to order.

FOOD:

~Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken (5/5): The dark meat is so juicy and tender. Seasoned to perfection. The white meat is good too, but a little more dry. I was able to get half a chicken and get all dark meat, so love that option!

~Fried Yucca (5/5): Probably the best fried yucca I have had. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Salty, sweet, perfection.

~Fried Plantains (5/5): Again, one of the best fried plantains I have tried. It was soft but not mushy. Sweet and savory, but not too sweet. So good

~Fried Rice (4.5/5): Would definitely get this side again. Haven't had any of their other rice options, so I can't compare. But the fried rice has bits of chicken in it too, and it has great flavor.

~Sauces: Mayonnaise (5/5): This isn't a normal mayo. It's house made and the type of sauce that usually comes with Peruvian Chicken. So good. Serrano pepper sauce (3.5/5): very peppery and tasty Qata Sauce (2.5/5): Seasoned but a little too salty and tart for me

Overall, this place is so solid and glad it opened up...

I went here last night excited to try a new chicken place. The staff was very friendly.  I placed my order for 6 piece of chicken that they said I would be able to choose my pieces and sides.  I waited 30 minutes and I was the only customer for my order to be ready.  When I get home I realized they did not provide one of my sides. As I am eating the chicken I realize they also didn't give me the white meat pieces I had asked for... and the pieces they did provide were dark meat and burnt!    I left a message immediately expecting they would call me back this morning.  This afternoon I called and they told me that the manager would REMAKE my order.  Awesome I was happy that they understood that they made mistakes and would make it right.  My husband left 10 min later to go pick the food up and THEN is told he has to pay  $18 for the chicken... WHICH THEY GOT WRONG the night before....Good Customer Service would have been HONORING what you said and providing me a remake! I will not be going back.  1-star because this seems unfair and I am upset that they told me they would remake my order .. since they made mistakes and waited 10 minutes to call back and say we now have to PAY AGAIN... saving us only $4 for their mistakes! Terrible...

A Hidden Peruvian Gem in Centerville, VA! I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this incredible new Peruvian restaurant in Centerville, and I can’t say enough good things about it! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable meal.

I started with the Ají de Gallina, and let me tell you—it was perfection. Creamy, rich, and packed with authentic Peruvian flavors, it was clear that the chef takes great pride in their craft. In fact, the dish was personally served by the chef, adding a special touch to the experience.

After that first bite, I knew I had to try more. I ordered both the rotisserie chicken and the broaster chicken, and each was bursting with flavor! The rotisserie chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, while the broaster chicken had just the right amount of crunch on the outside and tender, flavorful meat inside.

And let’s talk about the sauces, absolutely fantastic! This place is a must-visit for Peruvian cuisine lovers. I’ll definitely be...
