I stopped in for lunch and had a Texas Margarita (tasty), 2 tacos (pretty good - but I didn't see or taste any pineapple in my Al Pastor taco), and queso fundido. The queso fundido was the worst I've ever had. The queso arrived solid...not melted in the slightest. It looked like it had been, but solidified. It was barely above room temp. Most queso is so hot you can't touch it and have to let it cool...not this one! The chorizo was also barely warm...it just sat on top of the solid queso. And it looked very dry and tasted dry. I explained to the waiter that I would like it re-heated and he brought another guy by who took it away. Several minutes later, they brought another...it was slightly melted on the very bottom but solid and not the slightest bit hot for most of the depth. I told him that this was not right....he said "that's the way we make it". Well, the picture on their menu says otherwise...glistening melted cheese, glistening chorizo...not solid cheese and dry chorizo. Overall, service was slow despite them only having 4 tables to serve. I...
Read moreThe decor is nice and service friendly, but prices are too high for such small portions. We got 3 adult bevs, 2 sodas, 1 large cheese dip, a kids meal, 3 tacos, 1 burrito meal, and 1 Chile rellenos meal. Our bill before tip was $100! And I'm not talking giant tacos with meat pouring out of the tortilla... nor am I talking about a burrito the size of the one you get at Moe's for $6. I'm talking 3 tacos where all the ingredients dont peek from behind the Tortilla... the burrito wasn't even wrapped and looked more like an enchilada. I got 1 small poblano with a conservative handful of shredded chicken. Now, the food was good but I would rather go to El Potro or any other local, Mexican place to get more food for less. And, it took a little while to get our food. Last thing I will say is the acoustics are more for loud bar than a comfy restaurant. Super cool Halloween decor though and much better for drinks on the patio than a meal...
Read moreToday, nice temp we decided to go here and sit outdoors. Not available as they gave it all to one party. So we had to sit inside. We order a beer each. Then a cheese dip and bean dip. We were serve a basket of broken chips. And a bean juice and a extra thin cheese dip. Not consistent enough to eat as a dip. Especially with broken in bits chips. We found two(2) beans in the bean juice. Again watered down without beans. Then I was charged $6:50 for a second cheese dip with bean water in it. I refused to pay an extra dollar for two beans in water. As the party outside originally asked for the dining room, that had to be “un-set” while inside patrons listen to one woman drag the tables and chairs (on concrete) apart. Not a pleasent experience. Chose not tip the non English speaking bartender, and feel they do not care for white...
