Updated*
I have decided to update my review here.
First I will start with positives: Great selection of dresses
Why I rated it three stars: (Honestly, I may be being nice here...)
Made it sound like alterations were covered by them, like at other stores. I felt pressured to buy... Did not give me good advice as bridals sales associates. (like try sitting down in the dress, or move around in it more if movement is important to you, or try picking up your arms...) When you try on dress you often forget about the practically of a dress, especially if you just want to wear one the entire day as I planned, but now have had to change that. All you see is that it is pretty...
My reasons for the rating:
I bought a BEAUTIFUL dress at Bridals by Aimée and I still am in love with it BUT, I feel that they were trying to sell a dress and didn't think about giving me logical advice.
As a former sales person, I would always recommend people to try the item and think on it, and this always worked for me because I always had a peace of mind when I was being as helpful as possible.
Wedding dress purchases are a LOT of pressure, so ESPECIALLY then we need good advice from the associates. I got my dress when I visited the U.S. in January 2022, because I live in Germany but am planning a wedding that will be on Sep-24-22. I came back Sep-1st-2022, with just a few weeks to alter my dress. They knew my time limits and how risky it would be. I also remember telling them this would be the only dress I would buy since it was OVER my budget and over 3k. The dress I tried on in the store was the same size we ordered. In the store, it felt looser. The dress I have I cannot pick up my arms, the top part is chocking me, and I cannot sit in it. My dress is haute couture so it was indeed made for very thin models, but it never occurred to me I should try to sit in it before buying, and when I actively tried to tell them let me think on it they kept pushing for a purchase (which I can understand, but I didn't appreciate the pushiness & my mother was also trying to convince me) so I ended up buying. But I have now had to buy a second dress & am stuck with huge alterations fee, which isn't a nice feeling at all.
I called them about the issue and they called me back a day later and sent an email, which I appreciate, but in the end I figured there's not much they can do to fix this issue. In the end, the design of the dress was not the most comfortable option, but based on all the information they got from me on the appointment day I wish I would have gotten better advice. They had plenty of beautiful gowns and I still would have bought a dress from them, but maybe one that didn't cause me so much stress weeks before the wedding.
So ladies please move around and sit down in your dress...
Read morePlease RUN AWAY from this store now while you still can! I had the absolute worst experience here, and hope to save anyone else from feeling the way I did after visiting this store. In short, the staff here is extremely unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable and insecure on what should be an exciting, beautiful day.
I decided to go to Bridals by Aimee because of a certain designer they carried that wasnât available anywhere else in Atlanta. They do have a good selection of designers and dresses, but unfortunately the customer service tainted the experience for me.
First, they do not allow you to pick out dresses you would like to try on. After trying on a couple of trumpet silhouette dresses, I gave the feedback that I wasnât liking that style and my consultant kept bringing me the same silhouette. This happened with several other points of feedback as well, which was very frustrating when you arenât able to go pick out a dress for yourself. I understand the need to protect the dresses, but there are ways around this to ensure the bride is using her time efficiently and trying on what she wants to try on.
Second, the entire experience was uncomfortable. The dressing rooms are only closed off by a single curtain which my consultant didnât even close behind her when bringing dresses in, leaving me standing there half-naked while other customers could walk right by to go to the restroom. There was no care for the customers as individuals.
We also noticed all of the consultants in the store giving their opinion to brides even if it wasnât asked for or warranted. For example, we heard âthis one doesnât look as good on you as the other oneâ. One of the consultants even came up to me and touched my stomach and made a face while saying âthis dress is made for more European bridesâ.
Lastly, no pictures are allowed. Even after we found a dress we were highly considering they wouldnât let us look at the price tag to see the name of the dress or the designer or the price. This is no way to sell a dress to someone, and it honestly makes the customer feel insecure when they should be feeling elated and on cloud nine.
I am not exaggerating anything in this review or being overly emotional, unfortunately these are real experiences I had at this store and I truly hope no one else has to feel the way I did leaving this store. I should have left mid-appointment because it was that uncomfortable.
To the store owners - PLEASE put more effort into training your employees on customer service and making your customers feel special and understood. This is a big decision for brides and they shouldnât be left questioning themselves in the process because of poor...

Cons
They will not let you take photos in your dress while trying it on, or give you the designerâs name of the gown for which you like. Luckily I took a mental note of the name of the designerâs gown while trying it on and was able to Google it later to price compare. The price was standard across the places that I compared.
The sales advisor, while sweet, did not do what she assured me sheâd do, which was make a note of my measurements, the dress, or the vail that I tried on. So when I called back 2 weeks later to order the dress noted on my account, (assuming my information was documented under my name and telephone number) I had to tell them what I wanted (remember that they didnât even let me take photos in the dress so thank goodness I had enough sense to remember the name of the designer and look up the dress online and I had my own measurements handy).
My dress arrived way oversized. Thereâs a pleasant but pushy Cuban lady who told me she recommends that I go up in size for my gown when I ordered it via phone. She said most brides need to go up in size because they may gain weight and not fit the dress when it arrives. I foolishly trusted her judgement now my gown is huge on me. Iâm 5â1 and 140 pounds. I wear a size 8. My gown is relative to a size 18 on me. Luckily I can get the dress altered to fit better, but if I wouldâve gotten the dress in my right size to begin with Iâd save upwards of 600 dollars for alterations (from TK bridal and alterations, Iâll circle back to let you know if I recommend them for alterations as opposed to Aimeeâs bridal in-house personnel, though I suspect that theyâre cheaper in comparison).
The employee who helped me was way too pushy. I feel terrible that I cannot remember this ladyâs name, but she did proudly mention that sheâs Cuban, so Iâll have to use that to identify her at this point. This lady is polite but does not LISTEN. We would tell her one thing, and she would not do as we asked, but instead, tell us to do something else. We asked her about a vail that we liked and she said âyou donât want that vail because it doesnât go with the dressâ and told us that she will call us when the vail that âgoes with the dressâ arrives at the shop. She proceeded not to show us the vail that I had tried on when I first arrived. Needless to say, we did not return to buy ANYTHING else.
Pros
Beautiful gowns in store. Gown arrived in time for alterations to take place before the wedding.
Would I recommend this...
