Fairly disappointed, here’s my honest take:
I ordered from this place via UberEats on a Monday around 1:30 PM, when the kitchen should still be fresh and not too busy. The food arrived within 20 minutes, so delivery timing wasn’t an issue. However, everything was already half-cold—not their fault, but still disappointing.
The shawarma was dry, bland, and tasted like flavorless wood chips with a faint hint of spice. The grilled chicken was both dry and soggy, sitting in a colored liquid sauce. It seems the staff doesn’t know grilled and fried items need ventilated packaging to avoid steaming and turning soggy. The rice was equally uninspiring—dry and tasteless.
My order also include a side salad and hummus, but both looked unfresh in their small plastic containers, so I didn’t bother trying them after the disappointing entrees. When people order from a restaurant, they expect food to taste freshly made, but everything I got felt pre-made and reheated.
Overall, it felt like a subpar version of The Halal Guys. Unless they improve freshness, preparation, and packaging, I don’t see this...
Read moreClean, easy parking, super helpful and friendly staff, with amazing food for a fair price. Such a fantastic new addition to this area of Atlanta. The falafel balls were moist, a little spicy, with a ton of flavor. They weren't oily or dry in any way. The grilled chicken was well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. Everything I ate here was absolutely amazing! Even their traditional salad was perfectly seasoned to bring out the best flavors of the tomatoes. I did feel the fries could use improvement. They were a bit dry and flavorless, but they're made with real potato and they weren't oily which was a plus. The hummus was the most amazing consistency and flavor and their pitas were fresh baked, soft, and to die for. I will definitely be coming back. In fact I was just there yesterday and I'm already considering ordering from there again today. I didn't even think about taking a before picture so what you can see is my leftovers the next day. Do yourself a favor...
Read moreLunch at SababaRas was pretty delicious! This spot had been on my radar for a while, so I finally decided to give it a try—and I’m glad I did!
To start, parking was a breeze. There’s a garage right next door that offers free 3-hour parking, which took away any parking stress. Major win.
Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted at the register. I took a little extra time to decide—everything looked so good! I ended up going with the Deconstructed Plate and chose the shawarma chicken as my protein, with Mediterranean and Majadra rice. I added harissa and tahini sauces, and one of the staff recommended their house hot sauce, which definitely brought the heat!
If you know me, you know I can’t resist a house special juice. I went with the Limonia—light, refreshing, and not overly tart. Just the right balance.
Final verdict? Flavor-packed, great portion size, and well worth the value. I’ll...
