Stingy start charging $10 cover for a fight night 🤑
Still no chalk & for a place that could have the coolest balcony billiards in town, it's a shame 😕
2* Story: Minding my own business & playing an accelerated game with two female patrons... helping them by moving the balls into position for easier hits 😇
Even with this, an impatient off duty employee literally snatched my stick right out of my hand to start an altercation 😱
I am the alumni who has been in an Octogon 7 times and bounced dudes plenty bigger 💪😎
I'm also the guy that stood there calmly as YOUR employee gave me the "let's take this outside play" ... I'm sure he enjoyed the look in my eyes as I starred his down laughing in his face 👀
Then another one of yours whipped out there camera & walked up, putting it as close to my face as his cowardly self could 🙄
I've never smiled so big & waved into eterntity... tell him to post it in his next doom scrolling session when he should be studying 🤣
I pointed at the camera multiple times & I can assure you my robot friend will back up who was "in the right" here but I don't mind 🥶
I'll be sure to bring all the billiards buffs back to Legends where we at least get chalk 👌
Finished up the night with two drinks at the bar, never bothered by management ... but I was bothered by some nearly underaged women looking for me to buy them a drink 🍸 🤔
Feeling honored, I entertained a conversation while also trying to watch the fights 😅
I didn't oblige on the drink as it was a rude interruption or trolly a trap from some internal goons hoping to sting me...
All things together, horrible experience other than that impressive service by the bartenders for such a packed house... though I didn't see them smile once all night so0o0o 🤷♀️
I've been a patron at Brothers since the glory years on green street ... looking forward to seeing when we can negotiate a re-rating adventure...
Read moreThe first time we had visited the establishment, we had no problems, considering we were only there for an hour just for drinks. A friend and I came for the second time to try out their wings for the free wing deal with students. This place has abysmal service and a terrible vibe - I had to ask 4 servers for someone to come take our order and each time, they looked at me like I was inconveniencing them. We were not there late - we arrive 8:50-9. We were only a party of two. Very rude staff. It’s clear most staff hired are inexperienced and need training on customer service in general. It seems like if you do not know a server/staff member personally, they treat you like you don’t exist. Had many servers outright ignore me when I tried to get their attention (I made direct eye contact and they just look away). I do not want to make outrageous claims that the establishment racially profiles individuals that come in, but they are not doing well so far as others have reported instances in which they have been prejudiced against, which I find quite pathetic, being that the UIUC campus is known for its diversity. It seems like it has primarily become a hub for the srat/frat population, adding onto that aspect of exclusivity, which we found childish. The service should be equal among all consumers, not just those part of Greek life. And this is a recurring theme at all the campus bars, not this one. We had high hopes that this place would be dope, but it truly isn’t. The food was terrible (small pieces of mainly bread, not chicken really) but I didn’t expect it to be great (it was free). Overall, I’d give it a...

Brothers isn’t just a bar, it’s a rite of passage. The energy is always electric, the drinks hit just right, and the vibe is unmatched. Whether it’s a chill night with friends or a full-on weekend rager, this place always delivers.
But let’s talk about the real MVPs: the barbacks. These legends are the unsung heroes of Brothers. While everyone’s eyes are on the bartenders, the barbacks are the ones keeping the whole operation moving like a well-oiled machine. Lightning fast, always on point, and somehow everywhere at once — they’re the reason your drinks keep flowing and the place stays spotless even at peak chaos.
You can tell they care. They move with purpose, hustle hard, and make the whole bar run like clockwork. Honestly, they might just be the best barbacks on the entire UIUC campus, no exaggeration. Their work ethic is elite, and they deserve all the...
