I LOVE this place. please don't ever change. we did the all you can eat sushi in a week day night and wow... way better than moki in savoy.
SEATING: i did the reservation online. when we got there around 7 pm, there were plenty of seats. so, in hindsight, we didn't need the reservation. we got seated right away.
PARKING: There is plenty of parking, which is so much better than the restaurants in Green St. and it's FREE parking. the parking is right infront too. so you don't need to walk too far or look for a spot.
DECOR: I love their decor and ambiance. you can watch them make your sushi but our table was on the other side and we couldn't see it. the place looks clean.
PRICE: we paid for all you can eat sushi. it was 30 per person for 90 minutes. we gave 20% tip and the total was around $80. keep in my mind there is a time limit and tip wasn't included in our service. we added it when we paid. if you don't finish your food, you have to pay $1 per sushi. I'm not sure how that works with other food.
SERVICE: Our waiter was super good. he checked up on us often. the food came on quickly. we got our appetizer first, then the sushi, then the dessert. but there is no limit to how many times you order. so u can take ur time to eat and then order again so u can avoid ordering too much food and paying those extra fees. they clean our table as we go too. when we were ready to checkout, our waiter was nowhere to be seen, so we waited for a little bit in the cashier by the front door. the waiter was supposed to give our receipt. but we didn't really inform him we were ready to go, and it was almost closing time, too.
FOOD: For an appetizer, I ordered fried squid and takoyaki. It was amazing. the squid was tender and fried perfectly. the takoyaki was still hot when it came to me, too. we ordered a variety of sushi. the godzilla sushi was amazing, and the volcano sushi. I ordered one raw ala cart sushi. it was raw fish on top sushi rice. I didn't like it. I would stick to cook sushi when you eat here. the sushi rolls are small enough to put it all your mouth. the Wasabi paste was very potent. I suggest not putting a lot on your sushi. for dessert, we got green tea and vanilla mochi. they added chocolate drizzle and whipped cream on top. it...
Read moreLots of good options if you want quick sushi. The quality is pretty good and it tasted fresh. Their presentation isn't the best, but they have good options if you're looking for something on the more affordable end. I had all you can eat 29.95 for dinner. Lunch price is 24.95 for 11-4 mon-fri.
Specialty rolls are 8 pieces, pretty much everything else is 6, or has the quantity, like appetizers. My server said ordering 2 specialty rolls would break even for ayce.
I really liked the snow man specialty roll. It is white tuna with avocado and a slightly sweet soy. It had charred white tuna on top adding a smokey flavor. I also had the red dragon, mackerel (cooked) and tamago (egg) nigiri, yakitori, and mussels. The red dragon was a bit boring. It didn't have much of a taste as it was overwhelmed by the shrimp tempura. The nigiri was good all around, but I was expecting vinegared or raw mackerel, not fully cooked. Yakitori was tasty, but the sauce was a bit light in flavoring and the mussels were large and juicy. Would reccomend sesame balls for dessert. They're sweet, chewy, crispy, and have a red bean center.
The wait staff was very kind. She let me know my order would be running late, and was attentive. Overall great if you're really hungry. I would go again just to try...
Read moreI went for the $30 dinner all you can eat. First thing that struck me was the interior design. Nice cozy booths with architectural elements to make you feel like you have some privacy and nice murals on the wall. The second thing I noticed was that it smelled good.
We sat done and ordered our sushi immediately, and to our pleasant surprise, it's not just sushi on the ayce menu, but a variety of other things as well.
The food took longer than I'd expect to be ready, but when it did arrive, it was quite good. None of it blew my mind, but it was all good. My only actual disappointment was that the lobster salad sushi was different than pictured on the menu. It was served like nigiri on top of rice instead of wrapped up in seaweed on the photo. The lobster salad itself also had a slight breading. It tasted good, but it wasn't really what I ordered.
My partner and I ate until we were about to explode and the green tea ice cream to top it off was fantastic. We're definitely going again soon.
The robotic cat waiter was a...
