Hands down, THE BEST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN TACOS IN THE CHAMPAIGN URBANA AREA!
In looking for good Mexican food roughly a year ago, I came across Fernando’s food truck on the corner of Market & Walnut in Downtown Champaign. Tried a variety of their tacos and some Mexican corn and was “wowed” by the flavor and taste of all the food. Amazing!
Fast forward a year later, Fernando’s truck is still there most nights in downtown Champaign and they have recently opened a nice sit down restaurant on Town Center Road up by Marketplace mall.
I normally pick up Fernando’s 2-3 times a week. It never gets old. Flavor, & taste of Fernando’s food is ALWAYS consistent. Their red & green salsa / sauce is a game changer…tops in town hands down.
We’ve now brought family and friends Fernando’s and their reviews are the same. Great tasting food!
I highly recommend their Steak, El pastor and Chorizo tacos Mexican style along with their Elote (Mexican corn) along with a Jarritos Mexican soda… & don’t forget to try their sauce(s)!!!
It helps that Fernando, Roberto, Jose and their rest of their crew are kind & nice people and small business owners like myself. I like supporting businesses/people like Fernando…good people & great food.
Give them a try! I guarantee you won’t be...
Read moreThe tacos here are versatile, tasty, and easy to eat. From the first bite to the last, Fernando’s tacos offer a burst of flavors and textures that leave you craving more. One of the things I love most about Fernando’s tacos is their ability to satisfy my cravings. Had the pleasure of dining in, and I have to say, the staff there was simply amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly conversation. The staff was attentive and made us feel right at home. Who I believe was the owner of Fernando’s came up to the table and thanked my partner and I for coming in. Will definitely be going back to Fernando’s. Restaurant...
Read moreNew location just west of Mcalister's in the strip mall. I had the chicken tacos Mexican style, they were great. Chicken was moist and seasoned properly a hint of smokiness from the Chipotle in the seasoning I would guess. The chicken is shredded which i much prefer over diced. I also had the chips with cheese sauce it was good, I put the verde sauce and hot sauce on them it was a good mix.( I do wish they offered just chips and salsa.) 3 tacos chips and a drink came to $16.00. The staff was friendly, I believe the owner came over and ask how the food was. Over all a good experience. Will definitely...
