We had went in to the Champaign IL location tonight (8/20/25) for my birthday dinner. We arrived at the restaurant and was greeted by a host girl who sat us at a table. Another "host girl" had came over to grab our drinks while we waited for our server. That same "host girl" brings drinks then processed to take our entire order. Once that same "host girl" leaves our server Gavin comes over to take our order. We told Gavin that the "host girl" took our order and he said "okay" and says "I'm in this area if you need something let me know." We got bread right before the meal came, then our "server who is a host" leaves and not even a minute later the blonde manager lady brings our meal and says "your server" will be back shortly. I told her "we don't have a server we have a host" the blonde manager lady states "the host girl is a server." The "host girl" never came back to check on us but once when I had to ask about our salads that we never got until after our meal came and even then the salads were the wrong ones. I had to ask for the blonde manager lady and told her my issues with the food which was cold (my baked potatoe was hotter then my other food), the service was terrible (which I reminded her that she told me our server was a server but she was clocked in as a host and had not checked on us). The blonde manager lady told us that there was a mix-up on who was to be our server and then asked if we wanted Gavin as our server after everything was terrible nothing against Gavin who did not wrong in this mix-up. The blonde manager lady said "she would bring a box if I wanted to take it home" she did not offer to have our meals remade and acted as if we are in the wrong and was taking up her time. The only thing she offered was to take care of the meals and would be back. We waited 15-20 minutes for the blonde manager lady to come back but she did not, she was at the bar playing bartender. The "host girl" who played our server brought my other drink right before we left. The blonde manager lady did not tell the bar nor the "host/server girl" we did not want the other drink. I was very very disappointed in the service, food, and the way the blonde manager lady handled this situation, and it will be a very long time before we come back to eat here. I will go to Outback or Applebee's before I eat at...

Sadly, we were not happy at all this visit. The first half of our group arrived and we were seated, greeted promptly by a cheerful waiter, Lacy, who took our drink orders and brought them out pretty quickly. She asked if we were there for a special occasion and the two birthday boys (oldest adult males in our group) The rest of our group arrived, Lacy took their drink orders and brought them out, then...nothing. We did have a couple of empty chairs for people who didn't show up, but NO ONE ever stopped by to ask if we were still waiting on people. We finally flagged down another waiter as Lacy was no where to be seen and asked for her to be sent to the table. She arrived and was rather defensive and it was downhill from there. Our orders were taken, bread eventually brought out to the table. We asked for the kids' (3 year old twins) orders of mac-n-cheese (one w/ fries, the other w/ broccoli) be brought out as soon as possible because, by this point, they were a little antsy and very hungry. Waited and waited and finally our food was brought out, with one of the kids' meals being one of the last.
The steak salad was flavorful but extremely small portion of steak and, really not a lot of lettuce. The broccoli on the adult plate was steamed & plain (NOT requested like this) but not seasoned. The broccoli on the kids plate was seasoned (pretty salty) and buttered. One steak was over-seasoned and too salty. Baked sweet potatoes and salmon were quite good.
We were checked on once by Lacy and once by another waiter during our meal and it was more of a "walk by and ask if everything was okay and kept walking" type of experience.
We all finished about the same time, to go containers were brought out when requested, along with the check. We were not asked if we wanted dessert. The birthday boys were not celebrated with a birthday treat. By this point we were so annoyed and the kids had reached their limit of restaurant behavior, so we simply packed up and left.
Extremely disappointed in the entire experience. Will find another place for our family...
Read moreWorst customer service! It was absolutely awful! I was seated in the bar as I asked. There was one couple in the bar. That is it! Nobody else. In fact, the entire restaurant was not even at 1/8 capacity. It was very quiet and not busy at all. There were religious programs rather than sports on several of the tv screens, which I found creepy and inappropriate The waitress did not show up for nearly 5 minutes. She took my drink order and disappeared for over 15 minutes. She reappeared finally with my cocktail, but not the iced tea I had also asked for. The cocktail: a dragon fruit margarita was so full of ice that I had to fish out. (It had 4 mini cocktail straws ... how wasteful!) The ice tasted freezer burned. The salad was brought out and it was meager and had obviously been carelessly put together, it was lopsided and I had to cut the lettuce pieces up as they were HUGE. Next came the appetizer: fried shrimp with cherry peppers. It was soggy, no crunch and tasted like it was cooked in very old oil. Yuck! Still no iced tea. The waitress was NOWHERE to be found. A woman sitting adjacent to me in the dining section indicated to me that she was annoyed with the lack of service. Another couple came into the bar area and sat waiting and looking for service. Finally my streak and baked potato were brought to me, but no condiments or even salt and pepper on the table and none offered. The "loaded" potato was over cooked and had maybe a teaspoon of sour cream, 3 bacon bits, 1 chive and 4 pieces of cheese shreds. I kept looking for my absent waitress. Finally I flagged someone else down and asked for steak sauce salt and pepper. Still took another 5 minutes and she just set it on the table. By the time it arrived, my food was cold. My iced tea finally arrived. I was so annoyed by this point. I ate rather quickly and just wanted to get out there. It did not feel friendly and inviting at all. The food was clearly slapped together half hazardly, the staff seemed subdued and demoralized. It was not at all a friendly or happy atmosphere. The steak was the only good part. It was done right, but by the time I got it and the condiments,...
