Chanticlear pizza has been my go to delivery pizza for well over a decade as I fell in love with their bold flavorful pizza sauce. I often ordered extra sauce and with a variety of pepperoni and another ingredient combos.
I'd see their monthly specials that looked interesting, but I had my go to pepperoni, if it was hot I went with jalapeno, if mild banana peppers, if sweet pineapple (those who are in disbelieve, have you ever really tried it?)
Well a few months ago I got adventurous as I was in the mood for something different and believe I got some potato monthly special pizza or something and it was gooooood. Since then, I try to try the special pizza of the month at least once a month (yeah I eat a lot of pizza, I think Chanticlear actually has ME on speed dial.)
We this month I tried their Firehouse Special Pizza of the Month and OH MY HAVE I FALLEN IN LOVE! I am taking bites of my second firehouse pizza already this month as I type. It even has my beloved pepperoni in it among a wonderful collection of flavors, and yes I still ask for extra sauce (at .50 I feel it is worth it, actually a must for me.) I highly recommend during these cold months to have the oven preheated to make the slices piping hot as you go, i just toss a slice in for about four minutes at 400 when I am ready for another as it ensures all those wonderful flavors stay fluid and melt into one another and then my mouth.
This is just a long overdue example of why I love Chanticlear Pizza, but also the craft of pizza making they have proven to me is a real thing, with their specialty combo pizzas, some ONLY available as pizza of the month. So do yourself a flavorful favor and deviate from the old go to pizza ingredients once in a while and give their special pizzas of the month a try too. I think you will be shocked by just how awesome...
Read morePizza - got the 18” Taco Pizza. This was 3.5/5. Godfathers still has the best taco pizza in Mn I’ve had. This is similar to Broadways. It is surprising they don’t give you sour cream or taco sauce. It for sure tasting lacking because of that. The thin crust wasn’t bad. Some burnt spots. We also got a x-large sausage pizza. This was 3/5, nothing great, nothing wrong. Broadways is better. By the time we got home, less than 5 min drive, the food wasn’t very warm.
We got a 15 piece boneless chicken pieces. Pretty small pieces. Probably a 2/5 since something you get frozen at the grocery store would be more or less the same.
Customer service - coupons seem bad since if you want speciality or more than 2-3 toppings none of their coupons apply. First time ordering I asked what kind of deal can I get for the 3 things above if any available, he’s says what coupons do you have. I’m asking because I want to know what your store will offer. When I ask about egg in the boneless chicken preparation which is common with breading, the young lad doesn’t seem to take good allergies seriously. 2/5.
For the price, it probably isn’t worth it. If you want to try something new, it isn’t bad, it isn’t great. Overall though it isn’t good enough...
Read moreThe pizza was great but I was a little nervous about the cleanliness of the establishment, there where many employees there so I feel it should have been addressed because they weren't busy, the pizza was great, but the staff didn't seem sure of their own menu, and overcharged me like 10 bucks, I had to say something, so they corrected it, but still didn't do it right, I don't think that the tax should have been almost 7 dollars on a 20 dollar order? And there was no thanks for my tip either, and im not sure why a tip is needed when you are going in a store to buy something cooked that they supply and they aren't waiters, it wasn't a sit in, or even great service, I had to ask about everything and they weren't sure of anything. Personally, I don't think that 5 employee's are needed, that don't even know what...
