King of the Wing — Restaurant in Champlin

Today, I made a special stop into Elm Creek Brewing to visit Ryan & Dan (formerly from Maverick's Wood Grill) @ their new kitchen, King of the Wing, inside of E.C. Brewing! 🐔🐔🐔🍻 The ordering process on the kiosk was incredibly simple and user friendly. You will receive a text msg letting you know when your order is ready and then you just pick it up at the counter. I chose to build my own Smash Burger. (NOTE: Their smash burgers are made with crunched up goldfish crackers in them - a truly unique combo!) I added my choice of cheese on top, with Bacon, caramelized onions and a side of mayo. Ryan and Dan have done it again. This place is a must try, and must try again, and then try again… you get it. I had the Royale Smashburger with cheese and my boyfriend had the Thai Chili wings and a BYO smashburger. We shared the onion dip and chips. Everything was a huge hit. Smash burgers were cooked to perfection and had just the perfect amount of messy indulgence. The wings were crispy with a perfect amount of sauce. If you get the onion dip, trust them and try it with the salt and vinegar chips. My boyfriend was craving Serums wings today. Everyone knows Serums has great wings, but I talked him into trying King of the Wing instead and he has thanked me 3x. If you’re considering stopping here, DO IT....

Mm mm mmm! We ate too fast to take photos, but the chicken and smash burgers are great. I ordered the Royal with Cheese. It has 1000 island dressing on it, so I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it. Of course it’s delicious. Cooked perfectly. Perfect balance of all the toppings included. My daughter got the “little chicky” sandwich and commented on how much better it is than the one she gets at school 😂 So fresh.

Looking forward to trying one of the fried cauliflower options next (they’ll even have a vegan burger soon!)
