This used to be a great location. Sometime late in the summer, however, things changed completely. We order pizza weekly and used to have great success here. Pizzas were made just as they should be and unlike some other locations in the area, had just the right amount of toppings. I never felt like I was cheated.
Over the last few months, things have changed drastically. Just tonight I received a wrong pizza on my order. That's the 3rd time in my last four orders that something hasn't been right. One time I got some weird concoction of a stuffed pizza you can't even find on the menu. They started making it one way and then clearly changed course halfway through (garlic stuffed chicken with random sausage and red sauce in it). Tonight I ordered one of the specialty pizzas, thin crust, and got another concoction of sorts with normal crust. I wanted a the Greek peperoni but received some sort of sausage and onions pizza. How do you screw up an order that badly?
To top everything off, I'm positive the pizzas have shrunk over time. Family size used to take up the whole tray. Now when I order family size there's at least a finger width of space all the way around the tray.
I'll be calling the manager to log my complaints as well as it appears no one is paying attention to the clearly diminishing reviews on here. I haven't seen any response, which makes me suspect management either quit caring or changed recently. In any case, I'll be visiting the Maple Grove location, which is twice the distance of a drive for me, from here on out.
This was the best location in the area but I strongly suggest looking...
Read moreMost of the times I come to this location, the line isn't too long and they can make the pizza usually within 10 or 15 minutes. This time was different, however. Once I entered the pizzeria, there were a few people waiting. The cashier/pizza maker took my order, but the computer was 'down'. After 3 minutes of standing and watching the new employee tinker with the computer, he told me he would make the pizza soon. One of the customers that was already waiting when I came in was there for a large order, he asked for about 5 pizzas. He had been waiting there for probably about an hour or more. I told the employee that I would come back in half an hour, and so I did. I saw that new people had arrived since I left for half an hour and some people had left. Once he saw me come in, he started making the pizza, AFTER he made 3 pizza's for two other people. He then made the pizza "wrong" and started all over again. This ridiculous incident took about an hour and 30 minutes for one pizza. The person to blame was not the employee, but the company manager for employing a new worked to run an entire...
Read moreWe have ordered pizza a few times from here since we moved to Champlin 3 years ago. Each time the pizza crust is stuck to the baking tray after baking and chunks of pizza crust come off the bottom of the pizza.
We thought it was just an issue with our oven at our new home, as we never had this problem before moving here. But then we got Papa Murphy's at a different location recently and it was perfect. The crust released from the tray as expected. So we want back one more time to Champlin and the crust stuck to the tray.
Not sure what is being done differently at this location. Unfortunately, I cannot order from here again as I am worried this problem will happen again as it has each time previously.
On the positive side of things, the store was clean and employees...
