8/7/17 online order.I get to establishment, there were almost no customers in store, i proceeded to counter i told girl i placed order online she said "I'm so sorry, we forgot to check online orders" ? She handed me a little yellow cup and asked if I could wait and assured me they would have my order ready in minutes. I went took a seat, same girl comes back out with 2 containers for barbecue sauce the 3 different types they had, I go to counter which was dirty and 2 containers were low on sauce and the original sauce was completely out ( the place was pretty much empty there is no reason why they shouldn't have been prepared)girl offered to bring sauce from the back, which she did, she brought back 2 little side dressing cupies!?they brought my food out within 5-6 minutes which made me wonder how long they had the food sitting out there. Took my things went home. At home I started to unpack food and realized my order included 6 bread yet there was no bread anywhere in the bag! I opened the "medium" ceaser salad container and no joke there was about a handful of lettuce!! It was ridiculous! I'm not one to complain, which lesson learned I guess I should have spoken up since their 1st mistake, I looked up the # and call, (apparently the restaurants are franchised cause I called the wrong location and they were unable to transfer me to the one on Arizona ave near the 202) finally get the correct location I start explained to the girl who picked up the phone everything that had happen, all she said was let me have you talk to my manager. Manager gets on the phone I explained everything and let me tell you it was the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I've worked in the food industry! Manager was not apologetic she had an excuse for everything!!! She started saying they had new people working and then she stated they didn't see my online order because there system had broken ?( that day or or day before) and states it must if not printed it. The young girl at counter had told me they forgot to check online orders and she pull the receipt from there right away!! The order was there but no one paid attention. She proceeded to say the salad was only a medium and to picture the amount that fit in the small cup, that would be the amount of salad in container!? Yes the medium containers were small but the amount of salad was literally a handful, not even a small side salad would come out of that, and she then offered if I went back they would give me my bread that they forgot to put in my order and a fresh salad, I explained I live a driving distance of 20 minutes, which she responds to that, sorry about that I hope you understand we have new people and you can give us another opportunity. What a joke, so I asked her for a refund, and she stayed quiet then later said ok she could do a refund for the bread, and didn't know how long it would be until it was posted back to my account because she didn't know if the transaction was sent to bank already or not. About an hour later i get a call back from the establishment and lady on phone asked if I had called I said yes, she proceeds to say they were looking at account and see that they are able to make a memo on there for the next time I go in to buy my family pack they could give me 10%discount. ?? Are you kidding me. In my head I was like how dare you after the horrible experience and awful customer service what made her think I would ever go back there!? I said no thank I'll take my refund, girl seem to have not liked my responds and she said ok thanks and bye and she hung up! And to end it, I checked my bank account and see I was refunded $3. $3 !!??? I'm sure if I walk in to store for 6 pieces of bread it would cost me more than $3! Horrible in all aspects! A little acknowledgment of all their mistakes would of been good but even management was horrible, excuses for all their mistakes, lack of customer service, and poor public relations...
Read moreNever had a problem here before. It has been about one year since I have been here.
I went to order take out for three people today. They had a manager and a new trainee. I recognized this, I said I was in no rush at all. I even let the person behind me go ahead of me.
I placed my order and waited patiently. The couple behind me did as well. As they, and I are waiting, another pair of people come in and are waiting to order.
I waited about 20 minutes to get my food, I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE TIME AT ALL. I do care about quality and cleanliness. I watch my food being made on the counter the entire time. Everything looked up to par.
As I received my bag of food, I witnessed the trainee drop a food order receipt on the ground, he then proceeded to pick it up, place it ON THE FOOD PREP COUNTER, in addition he began making the next couples order. He proceeded WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS OR PUTTING GLOVES BACK ON!. He had used gloves while he made our takeout food.
I said quietly, to the manager, what I had just observed. She said, "it is okay, he is training". I said that training is fine, what he did is not acceptable. She said the same thing again and I needed to leave. I never said anything rude, I was soft spoken. I said that that conduct is unacceptable, you should tell the trainee. I was told again to leave, and in addition, she would call law enforcement on me. I was baffled. I calmly explained to the four people, two groups, of two people what I observed. I then asked if they thought I was being unreasonable. All four people followed me out the door. I guess it WAS NOT ME.
If you want a restaurant to help out your immune system, eat here. Personally I am appalled.
Heads up, call corporate with a complaint,voice-mail. SOLID.
If anyone questions this review, please see my prior reviews, realize, I am not about causing problems and am pretty...
Read moreWhen you walk in, it looks like a BBQ place. There are stacks of wood, fridge full of meat, trays with paper on them. But then you notice the "stacks of wood" are just cut ends of wood glued to the wall to look like stacks of wood. I mention this because I feel it sums the place up nicely: it's a cynical, shallow imitation of BBQ.
I can't compare brisket, because they were out. I can't compare ribs, because they were out. But they had pulled pork, which was a little past done and into "mushy" territory but not too bad, and sausage, which was the only thing I had that I could taste smoke on. Again not bad, certainly not the best I've had.
You know how at a real BBQ place the barbecued beans are full of odd ends and bits from the meats and have that great smoky taste? Not here, the BBQ beans are indistinguishable from just being poured out of a big can. You know how at a real BBQ place when you get a cornbread muffin and it has a muffin top that's hanging over the wrapper and crispy and the best part? Not here, the muffin has no muffin top, it's way too small for that. It's like a muffin bump. Speaking of which, it was ridiculously sweet and not grainy like cornbread should be. It was closer to a "corn muffin", in the same sense as a "blueberry muffin".
Everything about the food screamed "look at us cut as many corners and shave as much cost as we can while trying to still look like a BBQ joint." You may say, "maybe it's just a fast food chain BBQ place?" And you would be right that it's exactly what you expect from a fast food chain BBQ, except that a two item plate and a drink is going to cost you around fifteen dollars. That's not "fast food" money, that's real BBQ money. It's like the McDonalds of BBQ, if McDonalds charged you like they were serving steakhouse hamburgers. There are far better...
