Came here for the first time for Sunday Brunch with husband and daughter. Place is small but very clean, friendly service, and our waitress was right on top of refills, entrees coming, checking on us consistently. Husband ordered the corned beef hash for breakfast (came with eggs and toast) for $16 plus a coffee ($3.75). He liked it okay but wasn't too crazy about it. Daughter ordered the Cinnamon French Toast ($14) and added a fruity topping for $3 that came with eggs/sausage side. She said it was also okay. She did get their Strawberry Mango smoothie for $6 and loved it! I ordered the strawberry waffle ($15 after you add the strawberries) and then to add a side of eggs/sausage it was another $4. My iced tea was $3.75...I guess my point is, we have other places we regularly go to and like it much more and pay less. It was about $70 before tip which is high for us for 3 people. We didn't go outside of ordering more than usual. It seems reasonably priced on their menu but it adds up quick especially if you order a drink to go with it or if you want eggs/meat side with your pancakes or your waffle. Glad we went and tried it, but likely won't be back because it was just so expensive for the quality and quantity. Definitely recommend if you haven't been here as we all have our own opinions on restaurants like these (I know some people who rave about it and I'm not too crazy about it). Service was excellent, restaurant is clean, just not on our list of favorites.

Aug 2024, 2nd time here and was pleased with everything but the service. Alejandra was not on her A game today.. slow service and the order got mixed up and when she brought out the fixed eggs the didnt have cheese so there was no cheese on the skillet.. then i asked for sour cream and it took 8 mins to get it.. then she came over and asked if i wanted a soda refill and said she would be right back w it and took forever with it.. we will be back and hopefully get more attentive service like the first tume in. July 2023 Nice place! First time here and it didn't disappoint.. Shea was very knowledgeable and attentive and Luis who doesn't normally work this location was attentive and watches his tables.. didnt have to ask for anything and Shea stopped by (even tho she is the hostess) to check on us too which was nice. Food was absolutely delicious. It came out fast and correct, the over medium eggs were perfect and their roasted red potatoes were very tasty. we will be back

We were promptly greeted upon entering the restaurant. There was no wait at about 9.45 am on a Thursday. There began to be a wait just after 10 am for a short time. We asked to sit outside and were directed to choose any seat we liked. We had a choice between one clean table or two dirty tables that had not been cleared of the previous customer. We decided on one of the dirty tables as it would be in the sun. We waited a few minutes before the man who had greeted us intially came to clear it off. A woman came a few moments later to wipe it down and apologized for the wait. She brought us menus and took our drink order shortly thereafter (coffee and orange juice). The drinks came quickly. It took some time before they brought a highchair for our child (we asked for it when we came in intially). It seems they were much busier than normal and did not have enough staff to accommodate. The staff there were extremely friendly and thanked us for our patience. Service: 8/10 They have a well priced kids meal option with several different s. Comes with drink too. Crayons and activity sheet includes. Also, when we received our food, the waiter, Carlos, brought a placemat that stuck to the table for our infant to eat off of when we declined a plate for her. Extremely thoughtful. Family Friendliness 10/10 I asked the waiter for his recommendation for my breakfast. He recommended the Pork Chile Verde Skillet or the Birria Skillet and gave me a run down about how the meat is prepared, giving both high marks. I went with the pork, standard flour tortilla, and ordered my eggs over easy. I also ordered the French Toast Breakfast to share with my son, eggs scrambled with cheese, and sausage for the choice of meat. My husband ordered the Avocado Toast, eggs scrambled. Our food took about 15 minutes. French Toast was just warm, but the syrup, eggs, and sausage were all hot. The sausage and eggs were delightful and my son gobbled them up. Their sausage links are quite thick and larger than expected. French toast was ok, clearly not the restaurant's strong suit, but quite passable. The avocado toast was not traditional as the avocado was just sliced instead of spread. My husband enjoyed it even still and mentioned that the tomato slices were quite good. He would have liked different greens with it as it's served with iceberg on the side, a bit of dressing, and diced tomatoes. My skillet was just above luke warm when served initially, I asked the waiter if it could be heated up more. They remade it for me and also discounted the price of it by 50% on my check. The first one they brought out was still delicious and had great flavor, correct cook on the egg, and excellent portion size. When they remade it and it was piping hot, it was phenomenal. The carnitas was so so tender and the Chile Verde sauce was scrumptious. The whole dish was extremely cohesive and the presentation was fairly nice. The coffee was tasty and the orange juice was excellent. Food: 9/10 Men's bathroom cleanliness: 7/10 Woman's bathroom cleanliness: 8/10 Overall, we greatly enjoyed our breakfast here and will certainly be returning. Overall: 9/10 (rounded up to 5/5 for the kindness...

I placed a pickup order at 8:28 am and got a text notifying me that my order would be ready by 8:58 am. I ended up running late to the restaurant and arrived at 9:20 am, and they hadn't even started on the order that I placed an hour prior!! I asked why it wasn't ready yet and if it was because I was supposed to wait for another text message saying that the food was ready (never got another text other than the one that said when to arrive at the restaurant). The waitress that worked this morning - black hair and bangs - never answered either of my questions, just told me she never knew that the tablet she was holding onto was sending text messages to customers. She never apologized, just told me to wait a few more minutes.

It's also weird that the estimated wait time is 30 minutes when it only took them 10 minutes to make the corned beef hash plate and blueberry waffles with eggs and bacon. I'm assuming that the waffle I ordered ended up being underdone due to them rushing, but everything else was fine. Once my order was ready, the same waitress handed it to me, spurted out a "thanks" and turned away so fast - it baffles me how dismissive the staff can be, no apology or any empathy was shown.

I usually love The Crowned Egg, but this location needs a lot of work. I wouldn't recommend placing online orders here, and honestly I love the Gilbert location more for dine-in. Their staff is always welcoming...
