Five Guys — Restaurant in Chandler

I have been eating at five guys since the original store opened in Virginia many years ago and this is the first time I have been unhappy with my experience. This store was so filthy. Trash all over the floors and we had to get napkins and water to clean a table. Every table was filthy. While eating I noticed the cook took a smoke break leaving only 2 employees to run the place meanwhile the place is still filthy. I also noticed the burgers seem to be thinner now which causes the burger to be dry which takes the flavor away. Not the five guys I know. $25 for a small and regular burger, 1 small fry and 2 drinks. Could have done this at Mc Nasty's for way less money and twice as much food. Good soft drink and tea selection, good staff. Okay atmosphere. Takes Google Pay. That's the positive side.

Every time I go to Five Guys, it's because I let myself believe the hype. It's not assertively bad or anything (except for the fries, which were soggy and have always been every time I've been in: I'm not sure why, but the ones in the bag are always significantly better than the ones in the cup), but I could get a much better burger for the same price elsewhere.

I feel bad because I rarely post critical reviews (I prefer to endorse what I like and leave other stuff alone), but for a fast burger place there are much better options, and they are a lot more affordable. They have all their newspaper clippings with awards posted up places, and it always just runs it in for me that this place feels like the emperor's new...

I just went to this place. When the guy took my order at the register he had gloves on. After he handled my cash at the register, he took the next person's order. Then he walked to the back and started handling food with the same gloves on. Then when I said something to him. He lied to me and said he took his gloves off. I know what I saw! Then he gave me my contaminated burger. I just spent money there for something I can’t eat! I just got ripped off! So I informed them that I will be calling the health department in the morning. I would never ever ever recommend eating here. Even if they start changing gloves, all the lettuce, tomatoes and pickles are already contaminated with what ever was on my cash and everyone else’s debit cards and the register keys. Do not go here.
