My family and I went to Gogi to have a pleasant dinner outing but, instead their unapologetic demeanor and service ruined our night. First thing I noticed, when we sat, was this server who was running, literately running, inside the restaurant, table to table. I was concerned of possible accident. That server even misplaced an entree dish to the wrong table and instead of noticing the mistake, the customer had to call the server back to let him know. Server eventually took the dish, from the wrong table, and served it directly to the other customer. I'm not sure if the server ever checked to see if the first customer touched the food or not..... Same server, then started working on the table next to us and in a rush dropped all of small dishes with food, directly towards us, splattering food all over my shoe, pant and my jacket. Instead of asking us of our well being, that server, without ever acknowledging us, just cleaned up the floor and left. I requested, to that server, to speak to the manager and another server came whom I had to ask again to speak to their manager or owner. What that server said to me was a surprise. This server stated that there was no manager or owner on site to speak to...I couldn't understand this situation, no manager no owner who is on site managing the restaurant? As I looked around, I notice a person who was taking care of the bills and I went to that person and asked to speak to the management and this individual stated that she was in charge; what? previous server clearly stated to me that there was no manger or owner onsite... I explained the situation about their servers and showed food splatters on my clothes and she eventually apologized but, I didn't think she even knows/cared why I was upset. We ended up not having our dinner there and just went back home with an awful experience. I wish the Gogi management/owner know that it's important to train your servers and try to be understanding of the...
Read moreHorrible Service. I was celebrating a birthday with my friends and we all ordered at around the same time. I noticed that everybody was getting their food before me, but I decided wait because I thought maybe my order was just taking a little longer. Around 30 minutes of wait, when everybody had received their meal and we're about to finish I asked if my order was even close to being done. It seemed as they had not even started it, I decided to cancel the order so I could talk with my friends and celebrate the birthday. The waiter came and stated "Oh they never brought your meal", I explained that I cancelled due to the wait and she brought me some scraps of chicken so I could eat. She told me to eat the scraps and not worry about the order. When I finished the scraps and was about to leave, they brought the order I had cancelled. Then they charged me for two orders, the cancelled order and the scraps I never asked for. I asked for the manager and she was extremely rude. She told me I had to pay for both of the orders and that they couldn't cancel the order because they had cooked the chicken. Then I stated, "if you had cooked the chicken why didn't you bring it out in the 30 minutes I was waiting before I cancelled or the 20 minutes after?". I decided to not make to big of deal since I was there for a friend, but I will never comeback to this place and I have told everybody to be mindful of this business. All of my friends noticed the injustice and rudeness and have decided to not use this place as our normal hangout anymore. If you decide to come here make sure you get your order and actually pay for...
Read moreI would have given 5 stars but I felt misled at menu prices. I know the menus on Google aren't recent so I checked their website. I thought ok this is reasonable prices so I opted to go here instead of acye BBQ. When I sat down however it turns out that majority of entrees were $4-5 more than their website which disappointed me because my son wanted Korean BBQ buffet and this pretty much ended up being the same price. There's better food and cooked by chefs vs yourself so it warrants a decent price however I don't like being surprised. The decor is nice and you can tell it's a mom and pop shop. The manager or owner was kind in comping our soup because it was way too salty and gave us complimentary cider and apologized. I didn't want to make a big deal and didn't tell him about saltiness until he asked. So it was nice he made things right. Overall the food was good.. the galbi was seasoned right but half the portions I was expecting. I just had some at a Vietnamese restaurant the day before for more than half the price for that portion. It would be nice if the banchan included jap chae like other Korean restaurants..overall food solid. Price could be more competitive but most importantly update it on the Website..im posting pictures for others to know current prices. Also my daughter ordered crispy chicken but it's way too hard and you don't taste soft chicken just hard crispy dough. Bulgogi and galbi were solid and pork belly was a bit salty. Needs a little more...
