2022 : We came in and was greeted immediately by the staff. David asked if that's our first time here, and it was. So he explained the step by step, and also the details kind of meat. Since it was a buffet style (plate by plate though), we could order more if we were still hungry. But we had to finish first before ordering more. My daughter only liked noodles and chicken breast, so I had to eat her portions too. We only ordered half of the amount because that's all we could eat. I should have ordered just Wagyu and Beef Belly and Chicken Breast. The thin cut was really great. Premium/Deluxe/Seafood are different prices. $22.99-$29.99 per person lunch. All meat looked fresh. And it was easy to put it on the soup. Soup base/broth was good too, a little plain to me, since we used to have Thai or Vietnamese soup in other hotpot restaurant. David also took care of our needs (water/tea/desert) or any questions we asked. He gave efficient and great service. He also said Wagyu steak was the best and it was. The Australian lamb though- smell and taste too strong for me, I couldn't eat any. Other meat tasted amazing. They also have all kind of vegetables to put in to the soup to add some extra taste. Their sauces were amazing. Ponzu, sweet sour, sukiyaki, sesame, soy sauce, chili, garlic etc - many choice that we could make our specific own sauce. Maybe next time they would have a writing/doc to show us how to make the different style sauce, that we we follow through. I saw some other tables order more meat, the meat was steamed and looked fresh and great. Pitcher with water and Korean Barley tea were great too, so we had enough to drink. Korean desert snow ice were pretty good. The atmosphere was great, first they put music that was too loud, but then they changed it to better ones (Korean music which was better). We would definitely come back again.
2024 : It's price differently between Deluxe and Premium. If 1 person orders Premium - it counts as all people on the table is paying for the Premium - it's really adding so much. Even though just 1 person eating Premium and 4 others eat Deluxe - then all 5 as Premium - it's adding about $40 extra even though 4 others don't order it. I think...

Nestled in the heart of Chandler, AZ, Jin Shabu is where the art of shabu-shabu meets the spirit of communal dining. If you're a meat lover, this place is your Mecca. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the sight of thinly sliced beef, marbled to perfection, laid out like edible art on black platters.
The Meat: The beef selection is a feast for the eyes and the palate. Each slice promises a melt-in-your-mouth experience, with just the right amount of fat to ensure every bite is juicy and flavorful. It's like they've managed to capture the essence of steak in a form so delicate, you'd think it was crafted by a sushi master.
The Broth: The broths are where things get interesting. You can choose from a variety of bases, from the traditional clear broth to a spicy miso that'll wake up your taste buds. Each pot arrives with a wooden lid, reminiscent of a Japanese hot spring bath, keeping your meal warm and inviting.
The Sides: The sides are an adventure in themselves. A bowl of rice with a hint of seasoning, a plate of veggies including enoki mushrooms, cabbage, and tofu, all waiting to be dipped into your bubbling broth. And let's not forget the dumplings, little pockets of joy that add a comforting touch to your meal.
The Ambiance: The setting is minimalist yet warm, with wooden tables and modern decor that make you feel like you're in a chic, yet cozy eatery in Tokyo. It's perfect for both a romantic date or a lively gathering with friends.
The Verdict: Jin Shabu isn't just about eating; it's about experiencing food in a communal, almost ritualistic manner. It's where the simplicity of ingredients meets the complexity of flavors, all simmering together in a pot of love. If you're in Chandler and craving something beyond the usual, Jin Shabu is your go-to for a dining experience that's both intimate and indulgent. Just remember, here, patience is a virtue – the slow cook of shabu-shabu rewards those who wait.
Rating: If I had to rate this experience, I'd give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 hot pots. The only reason it's not a perfect score? Because perfection is an ever-moving target, and Jin Shabu keeps you coming back...
Read moreWe had such an amazing, authentic hot pot experience on Valentine's day tonight and it was magical from the moment we walked in and smelled all of the amazing smells. We were treated so well by everyone from the hostess to our waitress, Sara, to another amazing woman who checked in to see how we enjoyed our meal.
This restaurant is an experience and an event in itself, so we hope people try it out and support this new business that opened 5 months ago! the owner is from South Korea and has locations throughout South Korea and in koreatown in LA and now this one in Chandler, so while we were eating we even commented that it felt like we were somewhere else and that we were possibly in koreatown. We really enjoyed the interactive aspect of our meal and the fact that it is all-you-can-eat ensures that you get to taste and try everything as well as have a lot of variety of meats and veggies and seafood and flavors within your meal. we are going to stop by for a lunch as well and I would imagine that this would be a good spot for a business meeting because you can eat your meals slowly and talk and have a nice meeting oh, but it's also really a beautiful and romantic experience, which is why we enjoyed it tonight for our Valentine's day date!
You are provided two different broths in the pot, one is considered spicy and the other is not, and you go up to the all-you-can-eat bar to pick out your seafood and potstickers and veggies and different types of noodles and sauces, then you add them as you are ready into your broth and your various meats will be ready for you to add the broth to cook right in front of you! It was really delicious and we took some fun videos of the beautiful and colorful spread, but it doesn't let me post those videos here. I posted them on Instagram and...
