The service was terrible, the sandwich was worse. I really had hoped for a cuban sandwich but that isn't even a menu item, nor are the facilities present to create such a sandwich. Figured if that didn't work out I could have the brisket, but no brisket either.
The pastrami was sliced paper thin and microwaved before being placed on some sort of white toast and adorned with mustard from some yellow container and cringle cut pickle chips better suited to ruining a good hamburger.
The hot dog sandwich was almost inedible. The hotdog was sliced thin, microwaved and served with more of the ruined pastrami, yellow mustard and pickle chips on a hoagie roll fresh out the bag. It proclaimed to be beef but tasted of oscar meyer chicken dog drown in yellow mustard.
I avoided the pulled pork, as there was no smoker evident and the parking lot did not smell of bbq. I didnt see a grill and could not smell even a hint of bacon so avoided that fearing it may get the microwave treatment as well.
They seem to specialize in assembling sandwiches from assorted bagged meats and bread using condiments from the local warehouse store. I cant imagine not being able to create something far better than this. I would be ashamed to server loaf meat from the supermarket deli counter on...
Read moreUpdate: I was able to come in today and get one of their sandwiches and they were well worth the wait. I got the spice up your life sandwich and it was very delicious got a nice little kick from the banana peppers and jalapeños. The only thing for me is maybe I would ask for less cream cheese next time, but it was still sooooo very good better than any chain sandwich place around. Come support this mom and pop shop for a large yummy fresh sandwich. I love the retro vibe going on in here with their menus being vinyl covers.
It's Saturday 3/22/25 at 11:30 am and this place was closed. I'm in town from Oregon and my husband took us to it cause he said the sandwiches were sooo good, but yet I'm left disappointed and starving because the place was closed when it said it was opened. I will update review if I am able to try it before I...
Read moreMy husband and I stumbled across this place for lunch when shopping at a local fish store. The theme of the bar/restaurant is great! It takes you back in time with the art on the wall, the menus, and the music. The sandwiches are incredible & the owner is very personable. If you’re worried you might not get enough to eat while you’re knocking back a few, you’re wrong! My husband and I both could barely get through half (lunch for tomorrow!). My only recommendation would be to have an order form for custom subs where customers could sit and relax with a beer and choose what ingredients they want on their sub. Otherwise, plenty of great choices on their menu. We look forward to coming back to grab a drink with...
