Came in for my mother’s birthday dinner. Walked in and the about 75% of the tables weren’t clean. Not a problem but I definitely noticed. Seated fairly quickly and waited on quickly! Ordered 2 pho, some wings, the bao buns and 2 Vietnamese coffee. Food took about 10 minutes. Me and my girlfriend decided to share a XL p3 rare steak pho. My girlfriend’s stirring the broth when she notices a baby cockroach yes, a COCKROACH in the broth. I turned around and told the worker right away “I have a bug in my soup”. Naturally most people would probably leave after that, but we knew it was a family-owned business and they looked short staffed, so we looked the other way. Not even 2 minutes later my Dad looks at my girlfriend and signals to look behind her. We both turn and what a shock! Another cockroach walking on the wall. Safe to say I freaked out a bit. I’ve worked in food service before and I never have seen a single cockroach. I have seen fly's, bees and ants but a cockroach it’s pretty indicative of the cleanliness of the dining floor and kitchen. Imagine the insect droppings around that kitchen. Undoubtably the walk in is contaminated. A disgusting experience hands down. The worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. My only regret is when leaving I didn’t take any pictures of the Pho with the bug or the bug in the wall. But I mean my whole family and pretty much anyone in the restaurant when we left knew quickly.
After the owner's response I wanted to edit and give them an increased service rating. It takes a consummate professional to acknowledge they had multiple cockroaches in and throughout the restaurant. I don’t think the review was overly critical about the restaurant. I think most reasonable people would warn others about a potential food contamination. Our experience wasn’t enjoyable and I'm very grateful for the swift apology and response. Although I am confused about the baseless claim that David had served and provided a copious amount of free food and discounts to my mother when neither she nor anyone in my family have ever eaten at your establishment before. I don’t know whether it’s confusion or an attempt to paint me in a disingenuous way. Yes, we did not pay for the 6 chicken wings we ate! I sincerely appreciate that superb service and hope Veit Fusion can hammer out the obvious contamination issues and continue to provide...
Read moreI recently visited this Vietnamese restaurant for my husband’s birthday, and we were blown away! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu looked so good that I couldn’t decide what to eat, so I ended up ordering extra food to take home.
I had the sizzling beef dish, which was packed with flavor, while my husband got the beef brisket pho. The meat was so tender, it literally fell off the bone. We also tried the fried dumplings and shrimp spring rolls – the peanut sauce for the spring rolls was the perfect touch!
To top it off, I ordered a Vietnamese sandwich to go, and I was truly impressed with how fresh and tasty it was. David, our server, was fantastic – super friendly and attentive. For dessert, based on his recommendation, we had the sesame balls and some imported ice cream that melted in our mouths. Both were absolutely delicious!
Overall, I highly recommend this place! It's definitely a 5 out of 5 experience, from the food to the service. We’ll be back for sure!
update to previous review
The food is so delicious and the service is top quality that we have literally been back 4 times in just a week. Everything we have ordered has been perfection. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. If I could give more stars I would.
Highly recommend the garlic butter chicken wings and bao buns. The flavor is just fantastic! There hasn’t been one thing we’ve ordered that we were disappointed with. If I could give them a Michelin...
Read moreI’ve visited dozens of Vietnamese restaurants around the valley but this one was pretty underwhelming. When I arrived there was only one other table in the restaurant, it was a larger party and the server was taking their order so I sat my self at an empty table. The gentleman at the counter said someone would be right with me and would bring me some water. After several minutes no one came so I used the code on the table to order myself. I ordered a Thai tea, spring rolls, and some pho. A few minutes later the server came to me and asked for my order and I let her know I ordered it online. A few minutes later she brought out a bowl of pho. I asked about sauces, veggies, my appetizer and drinks and she said they were working on them. I got some sauces, then later the veggies, then the spring rolls. Still no drinks. She finally brought my Thai tea after all the food, I had to ask again for some water. The spring rolls were decent but the pho was soooo oily, the most oily pho I’ve ever had. Obviously some oil is normal but it was soooo oily fatty it made the flavor of the broth unpleasant which I’ve never experienced at any other place before. Honestly between the complete lack of service and not good pho I would never return here, there are so many better options...
