We usually love this Rubio's and have eaten here very often. We often recommend this place to friends that are visiting from out of town. Since the COVID thing hit we have been trying to support local restaurants that we like by ordering take out. We ordered food for our whole family and they offered delivery on their website. The food arrived on time, unfortunately it had someone else's name on it. We didn't notice until the driver had already driven off. It was a completely different order so we called to get is straightened out. The person at Rubio's told us we had to call the delivery company - which we did - only to be told that they cannot do anything because the order was placed on Rubio's website. We called Rubio's back and explained the situation - we got transferred to the manager. "I am sorry there is NOTHING we can do - it is the fault of the delivery company. Once the food leaves our store we cannot be responsible for it". We asked "Can we just bring this food back in and pick up the original order we placed?" "No there is NOTHING we can do". Read moreWow, im so disappointed n frustrated. We always come here cause we like their service but today was the worst day ever. We order are chicken tacos with flour tortillas and extra chicken for the kids with nothing on it just chicken, I repeat it again just to make sure she'll put it cause last time we had on issue with that. Well sure enough we were all starving n when a lady brought us the food, are tacos were with corn and my kids had flour but with xtra onion n like 3 pieces of small chicken. Wow, at the time i felt like screaming and making it a big deal but we all make mistakes,so I told that lady nicely "I dont know whos fault is it,but all of r order is wrong,but its fine as long as they take care my kids tacos" so she just said "oh ok ill let them know, but with a nasty look. I dont know if she was the manager cause she kind of look like it but me as a customer service its not the way to take care of customers. Read moreWe very rarely do take out anywhere, but were forced to this time due to a tight timeline with other activities that evening.
Placed an order online (the online system is excellent by the way) and went in to pick it up. When we got to our next location and started to eat, we noticed 3 things completely missing:
-1 set of chips. We ordered a side of chips + chips with the kids meal. Im not sure which we got, but we only had one small package of chips in the bag.
-Kids drink (apple juice). Nowhere to be found.
-Salsa. You can select exactly what kind and how many online, but not a single one was included. Ended up throwing away the one bag of chips we did get since there was nothing to dip them in.
I get none of it is major as everyone still had something to eat, but I hate being shorted stuff I paid for. What bugs me the most is doing this on to go orders since there's no way to easily fix the situation once the customer is gone (ie no one is going to drive 15 minutes round trip back to the store while the rest of the food gets cold).
