My family and I are regulars at this location and I hate to say we are beyond disappointed in our service today. We are a very easy going family, never have issues with our food or our service, we love all of the servers. However today, we did have an unfortunate experience with our food. We had to request a fresh basket of fries for my toddler because they served us rock hard fries. That wasn't that bad and our server May easily fixed the issue and brought fresh fries.
However, I ordered a burger and asked to add thousand island to it, I've ordered this burger a million times and it has never come out as bad as it did today. The cook drenched my burger in thousand island dressing to the point where you couldn't even pick it up. Not to mention when I did try to pick it up my bottom bun was so soggy it pretty much became apart of my patty. I asked our server to have the burger remade with the thousand island on the side because you can clearly see the burger was no good. She came back after speaking to her manager Caleb, where she explained he told her he cannot have the burger remade but he can bring a new bottom bun. He explained it was policy that if you ask for sauce on your burger they cannot remake the burger because they "technically made the burger correctly". He explained to me he would eat the burger that way and he would not be able to remake the burger nor would he be able to remove the burger from my bill, even though I didn't take a single bite of the burger. He proceeded to tried to give us zipps bucks. We told him we didn't want the bucks, we just wanted the burger removed from our bill or have a fresh burger made. He was actually trying to force us to pay for 2 burgers because he insisted the first burger was made right. As a manager I recommend Caleb works on his people skills and how to satisfy a customer because insisting that it is policy to charge someone for something they didn't eat is robbery and it surely makes us never want to eat there again as long as he is...
Read moreTo start the server wasn't friendly at all when you asked for something she rolled her eyes, she was constantly talking with other workers and didn't ask very often if we needed anything, when we ordered our fries were cold and greasy, so we sent them back, our friends that we meet there ordered and extra ranch, they put it on my wife's plate so she gave it to our friend. When they brought out the tickets the tickets were all messed up because in the beginning we said it would be two separate tickets, the waitress didn't write down who ordered what, so we told her they were incorrect, she came back and they still were incorrect. My wife told her she didn't ordered extra ranch, our friend told the waitress she ordered it. The waitress rolled her eyes and walked away. She came back with Jessica (a manager) well my wife said she didn't want ranch and manager said we can pull the cameras lol REALLY!!!!?¿?? Over a50 cent side of ranch you as a manager want to pull cameras and basically say we are lying!!??? So my wife said we will pay for it. While we sat there Jessica was taking to other staff and was making us feel so uncomfortable talking about us. Well I wish she would pull the cameras to see how long we waited for my beer and to see that the waitress didn't return until we asked where my beer was, please corporate pull the cameras and see the horrible service and see how unprofessional your childish manager Jessica was, my family has owned numerous restaurants and businesses and we would never put up with the unprofessional service by your manager Jessica, are you really willing to lose loyal customers over 50 cent side of ranch. She made us feel like we were trying to get a free meal, my experience being in a family that owned restaurants for 30 plus years especially over something so small, you would think your manager would say"I'm sorry and I will fix it. Instead of the way she...
Read moreWhenever I see Fish and Chips on a menu, I order it. Living so far from water sources, it's difficult to get a good tasting Fish and Chips dish. That said, others have. So I base my reviews solely on that item, as I believe that a restaurant is only as good as its weakest dish.
This Fish and Chips was... just barely okay. I wasn't exactly sad that I ordered it, but I wouldn't order it ever again. The fish pulled apart way too easily, which isn't ideal. It quite literally fell apart in my hands. It also didn't appear to have the same shape most other Fish and Chips have, which is fine, but unexpected. The fish tasted kinda fishy, which likely indicates that the fish is frozen (a given). However, it was more fishy than other restaurants nearby such as Blue32, meaning that it's likely this fish doesn't get ordered much. The batter wasn't that crunchy either. I've had bad fish and chips before though, so I can tell this one is just okay. Overall, I'd give the fish a 2/5.
The fries were soggy, and weren't crisp at all. This is usually a matter of preference, but I prefer crispy fries. I'd give them a 2/5.
While there, I also tried their Pizookie, which was pretty good. I would recommend trying it. Solid 4/5 Pizookie.
Other than food, Zipp's is a nice sports grill. The service was good and our server was both helpful and quickly adapted to our table's vibe, making the restaurant feel welcoming. I've heard that their other food is good, so I'll likely be back to try a burger. Just stay away from the fish, or you might be disappointed.
Overall, 3/5.
Edit: June 2nd, 2025 Came back and tried their burger. It was pretty good and I would recommend it. It isn't the greatest burger in the world, but it's a solid burger that'll taste good. Fries are still meh. That's consistent for all dishes. Rating for Food goes...
