Just left after not receiving my food. Got dropped off, walked in, and ordered pick 2 from the kiosk. Took my number and sat to patiently wait for my food. After something like 20 min go by I wonder why it was taking so long so I go over to the pick up area. Lady working had someone else's food asking if it was mine. Nope. I told her hey I have been waiting a while wondering how much longer? She asked me for my order. I told her. She asked if they had my order back there. They pretty much decided someone had taken mine by mistake. Ok things happen. So I'm standing there and lady working not saying anything to me or looking at me I think ok they must be making it. But then she is bagging other people's orders. I say "are they remaking it or?" And she tells me "they are working on it". Ok.... Waiting longer. At that point I'd been there for like 30 min waiting. She is still bagging other people's stuff. I see them pouring soups. I didn't order soup. So I say again "I don't mean to cause an issue but I'm kind of confused. Are they remaking or or what's going on?". She just looks at me and says "well it's going to be a while they have orders to make". Really? "Ok well I made my order like 35 min ago and they aren't even remaking it right now?" She hardly responds. Couple min later I say "so if it's going to be a while id rather just get a refund and leave. My boyfriend has been waiting in the car for me." They half heartedly offered me. Pastry for free instead. I didn't want a pastry I wanted my order to be prioritized once the mistake was discovered. Eventually she gets the manager to come give me a refund. No apologies or anything. When she is getting my order in the system to refund I say, "I don't want to be a pain but I do think once they knew I hadn't received my order mine should have been on the top of the list to make again..." She said "they did make your order and someone must have stole it." I said " I understand I meant after the fact." She didn't respond. Really? So anyone who gets a mixed up order gets to be put last apparently. As I leave she says "have a nice day." Not once did I get an apology or feel they cared about it whatsoever. I...
Read moreNot handicap/senior accommodating. I work for an assisted living and while on an outing today, we decided that Panera would be a nice option for lunch. I had called in advance to see if it would be possible to have a couple tables put together for a group of seniors that would be in shortly. The man that I was talking to said that they do not save tables in advance but to try coming in and “things should be fine.” I’m a one woman show with 8 seniors, as we unloaded the bus a few of them went in to ask for help with the tables, by the time I was unloading my last resident, the rest of them came right back outside and said, “they won’t accommodate us.” I was shocked from a customer service aspect but more-so angry about the fact that someone was asking for help and it wasn’t offered. As I reloaded my ladies on to the bus, I could see staff just looking out at the window at us, once everyone was seated and I was closing up the bus to get us somewhere else to eat, a team lead came out and asked if we were trying to eat here. I told him we tried but staff told my ladies they don’t accommodate. He apologized and asked if we wanted to come back in, I said that everyone is already back on the bus and we would go somewhere else that would be accepting. He looked appalled by what happened. I want to thank him for coming out and at least checking in, it was appreciated. As an advocate for seniors, this left a terrible taste in my mouth and will consider other options when Panera is suggested. Went across the road to Culver’s where staff assisted the ladies with the doors and provided excellent and...
Read moreI try to avoid negative reviews. I don’t really have the time anyway. But this Panera compels me make the time.
First, the “service” is objectively terrible. Consistently wrong orders (correct orders are the exception rather than the rule). Roughly two months ago, we DoorDahsed a meal. We received only the extra baguettes, fruit, etc - but our main meals were all missing, notwithstanding the fact the meals were checked off of the receipt. Even though the receipt contained a phone number for incorrect orders, both answered the phone until my 7th attempt. I was already on my way to Panera to get the food (something I don’t have time for - thus the DoorDash). When I arrived, the place was dead. The kid at the front was on his phone while I approached the counter. And the manager took no ownership of the mistake.
Begrudgingly, my wife recently stopped there again to get chicken noodle soup for our sick daughter. AGAIN, no soup was in the bag, despite the fact it was checked off on the receipt.
Second, after going our extra mile just to get our benefit of the bargain, the food is always cold.
I find it funny that we don’t get to receive our order unless we pay the exact amount they tell us to pay. But as a customer, it’s somehow excessive that I demand the same precision in my order.
This place is lazy, and its workers do not care about their own success, let alone the success of Panera. It reflects badly on Chanhassen, and I will never order...
