I love finding little gems that are mom and pop restaurants own by family, especially when it’s a random find. I was walking back home from the post office, when I came across this local gem that has been open for 2 years. I was hungry and the big sign that said Phillycheese Steak caught my eye. I guess, I also wanted a little piece of the north(I DON’T MISS IT THOUGHT). So, I ran across the street and walked into this kind of NY deli type style spot(NY slang for a place to eat) and was greeted by this man who was very personable and hospitable wearing a NY Yankees T-Shirt who had that southern draw when he spoke. I was sold! I told him, I recently just moved down here from NYC, and that I wanted a basic phillycheese steak. There were a few different options on the menu and me being who I am( very indecisive) told him what would he have. He to express he’s simple and likes a basic Phillycheese steak. I responded with me too! He responded with ok, want me to make it like I make mine? I responded with HECK YEAH!!! And he didn’t disappoint at all! Brotha man, cooked up something so simple but it was so tasteful. And for me that goes a long way. I don’t need frills and thrills! Just make sure it’s seasoned and we are golden! He did just that! It was seasoned so well, with the Basic ingredients of a phillycheese steak including the well darn seasoned steak, the melted not over powering of cheese, cooked onions and a warm roll that I’m sure was buttered! I threw some ketchup on my sandwich and it was perfection! As, I’m loving down this sandwich, little did I know I was having the pleasure of chatting with owner who also made my killer sandwich is, a 24 year old native of the pineapple state. The business is ran by him and his beautiful mother. The way they both made me feel welcome, was so beautiful and appreciated. All to say this is a must try! If you want something delicious and flavorful and quick. Go visit this gem I definitely plan on returning with my friends that first me from up north, as well as local! Btw, I did get wings! But that deserves its own post!!!! I’ll do that at...

Service: Let's start this with Gary!!!!! When I tell you it was a pleasant surprise to get this personal of a level of service downtown in a place where I didn't spend $75+. Keep up this amazing vibe 10/10!!!!! He was super attentive, because we ate in, and just overall professional and refreshing .
Food: The philly was a great size. I had the chicken mushroom and the pepper blend was nice and the chicken was tender. I would add a little more moisture to the sandwich (oil and vinegar, mayo, etc) Note: I did get a mayo packet once I mentioned it to Gary.
Kids Meal: My nephew had the nugget kids meal and it was a good portion and value. The keebler cookies were a nice touch.
Dessert: I gor the red velvet cake SLICE. Would not recommend for the $9.xx price tag. Go to Carmella's up the street to get the dessert after your meal for only $3-4 more and get a whole small cake.
Atmosphere: Little grab and go type vibe with great music. Clean and the big win...FREE PARKING!!!
Recommend?: Absolutely!!! I'll be...
Read moreall day I've been craving a Philly cheese! I only have 15 to 20 minutes at lunch so I thought I'd drive somewhere and grab it. However, I came by there to eat at lunch time. The counter staff was more concerned about selling parking to the construction site next door versus taking my order and selling food. They were selling public parking for $100 a space. I was trying to be a paying customer to eat the food. I'm not sure what you're doing at this location but I promise I will not be back! I really can't believe you rather sell public parking on a concrete surface rather than selling some steaming hot cheesesteak?
Update.. 5/30/23.. response to owner!! It in deed is a private lot "that you don't own"! You lease a space in the building. Selling concrete private parking spots for $100 other than making food for lunch?? As the owner, either your employees scammed construction workers next door or they didn't cut you in on the deal!! Absolutely 💯% you petite counter woman was taking money outside for parking. "None" of them came in to eat. (We recorded the original conversation with her.) Audio...
