Ate here for dinner yesterday. Good salad and fast service. Came back for lunch. BIG. HUGE. MASSIVE MISTAKE. The place is busy. Busy because admittedly, the food is good. But we waited over an hour at our table after ordering. OVER AN HOUR. When my wife checked on our order at the one hour mark... “We’re working on it” was the response. Keep working on it. I won’t plan to stop by again. You have all the business you need. 1 star for the service. 1 star for the food quality. -3 stars for the lackluster performance. The food just arrived. Gentlemen who brought it out handed my salad to my wife. My wife’s salad to me. Sat my daughters hotdog on the table. Took the number placard and left. Not a word was spoken. No... Sorry about the wait... it’s crazy in here today. Nothing. Not a dang word. Feel blessed you got the 2 star review. UPDATE: The owner commented below to email so they could rectify the situation. Thanks... but I wasn’t looking for any kind of service recovery. The best service recovery is a solid effort on the front end. Someone who is a manager was working today. They were aware there was an issue. Circulate through the waiting patrons and check on them. Let them know there is an issue. Apologize on the front end for issues. Give people a heads up they will have a long wait. As for the COVID-19 excuse... please.... that’s wearing thin with everyone in every profession. If you can’t handle the demand due to massive COVID-19 issues... put up a notice at the door that wait times for food will be at least 45 mins. My family isn’t one to complain and honesty.... given a warning on the front end we probably would have still ordered.

Should I be bothered ? Went to pick up a sandwich for MUSC patient and I saw the beautiful cakes. I added a slice of the carrot cake on the young man’s recommendation. He took the cake out to cut when another man said one slice is already in a box. The young man opened a box and said yep! Carrot cake. Now I’m at the hospital and this $10 slice of cake seems to be missing 1/4.. To me it looks like someone ate the edge or ? Bad cut? Very disappointed as he looked inside before giving it to me and what he saw was this and he thinks it is OK? Is it? On a positive note the French Dip with the potato salad was well received and she remarked on delicious both were.

This place is awesome! We don't usually go to delis for lunch since I used to work in a deli for years. But we decided to go this time. It was a 7 minute walk from South Carolina's Aquarium. We came a little after lunch time so they weren't really busy. We ordered Dixie Darling, Chicken & Cranberry, and a grilled cheese sandwich for our 5 year old. The sandwiches were so delicious. We also got their Chocolate chips cookie and Lemon Blueberry cookie (whaaatt??) And they were also delicious. They were very generous with the chocolate chips and the lemon blueberry cookie was so soft. We definitely recommend this place if you're near Downtown Charleston.

This is my second visit and the food is good but NEVER order online! I ordered online as I am allotted a certain bit of time away from my post as a security officer at 1:15pm the receipt said it should be ready at 1:27; so I arrived and called from my curbside pick up spot at exactly 1:30 and the lady on the phone said it shouldn't be long. I waited in the car 10 minutes at which point I grew frustrated as all I ordered was a BLT and fries and drink none of which are time consuming. I went inside where the cashier assured me that all we were waiting for at this point was fries and that I could get my drink. A few moments later a man came and asked if I wanted my mayo on the sandwich or on the side which confused me as I figured it had already been made and so the cashier offered me a cookie for my wait I was trying to remain patient as its not her fault directly but I was becoming very livid as my break was basically over at this point. I finally recieved my sandwich at 1:47 and I rushed out as I would need to be back on post in 13 min. To my chagrin they had not added the cheese that I paid an extra .85 cent for but I had no time to return and barely any time to eat....

First let me start by saying this is not the first time I have eaten there. but this experience will prevent me from going back. it was 5:00 in the afternoon and it took over 25 minutes to get two salads and there was nobody there. The guy handling the food had one glove on one hand and kept touching his face and the food with his uncloved hand. No big deal. I ordered the hungry Greek and there was no feta cheese, half of the dressing was missing, when I asked for more they said they were out of Greek dressing and that it would normally cost extra anyway. the black olives were just Plato's sliced olives you get on pizza. A Greek salad uses kalamata olives. Basically the Greek salad is a glorified chef salad only a splash of some kind of strange dressing.Go figure. I ordered it with the chicken and the chicken was diced into pieces so small and overcooked that it resembled crunchy bacon bits. When I mentioned it in passing they just sort of shrugged their shoulders like oh well. And don't tip in advance like I did. That was a waste of my money too. I used to be a regular but I'll be driving by regularly from now on. You lost a...
