The most appalling fast food experience I’ve ever had — and I’ve been a Moe’s fan for years.
I stopped into this location (where I’ve been before during the day) — this time, in the evening — and was shocked by what I encountered.
First, the place was filthy. The salsa bar looked like a biohazard: salsa slopped everywhere, flies buzzing, the whole thing a mess. The staff? No better. Unkempt, unprofessional, one employee literally reeking of body odor with his jeans hanging below his rear end.
In a rush, I politely asked for some of the sealed salsa packets already visible in their prep area — rather than eat from the filthy bar. The first answer I got was: “Nahhhh, we can’t do that, that’s for online orders.”
When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told: “She ain’t here.” A moment later: “She over there.” The so-called manager was parked at a table, eating. She wandered over and flatly refused any accommodation, then quickly turned rude.
At this point, her backup appeared — a scruffy young man (no name tag, no belt) whose pants were falling down, who smelled terrible. When I asked the manager for her card or name — “I ain’t got one.” I asked for the regional manager — again: “I ain’t got one.”
Then things got outright absurd. When I attempted to pay (their tap-to-pay system wasn’t working), the unkempt young man grabbed my arm and loudly accused me of trying to leave without paying — despite the fact that I was standing there trying to insert my card. The manager began shouting: “Call the PO-lice! He trying not to pay!”
When police arrived — yes, actual police over salsa packets — I calmly showed them my receipt and explained what had occurred. The real meltdown came when the staff noticed I was filming — something I’m now considering how best to share.
For contrast: I recently visited the Moe’s in North Charleston and had an excellent, friendly, clean experience. This location, however, was the single most disgusting and chaotic fast food experience of my life.

Before I was impressed with their curbside the first time we got food ee pulled up about 15 min early and I was wondering how fast it would be. 5 min later a gentleman brought out our food. The order was perfectly correct and no elements were missing.
Lately, I have been unimpressed. The second time we got takeout we called and let them know we were there and were told it was almost ready and someone would bring it to us. We waited for our food and nobody brought it out. Finally, I went in and the had it o. The takeout counter so I was able to pick it up.
This last time we arrived 5 min early and called to let them know we were there. They said someone would bring it out shortly. 2e waited for about 13 minutes past our pick up time and we did not get our food, see anyone bring it out, or get a call from them. Finally my wife walked in and again it was on the take out counter. However, nobody greeted her and nobody made sure she took the right order. They just ignored her.
I have a problem with this store for two things. They don't do curbside even though they said they do. If they say they bring it to your car, they need to bring it to your car. Second, they need to check who is picking up take out orders. Any body could have walked in and taken or tampered with ours because they were not organized or caring...

I came in starving, fully expecting to get met with rolling eyes, and sucking teeth, because I ask for Chicken Nachos, with only queso & chicken on the actual nachos, BBUUUUTTTT here's the HARD part, 😂 😳, I ask for lettuce, shredded cheese,and sour cream in separate small cups on the side. I get horrible responses at every other Moe's! Not only were they ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, GREAT SMILES & GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, but they happily made my order, talked and laughed with me the entire time, but then Ms Bria, the manager, noticed that I didn't get half of the stuff on my nachos, so she adjusted the price without my even asking. I actually volunteered to pay more for the inconvenience, but she wasn't having it! Thank you to the 3 amazing employees for TREATING ME SO ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY!!!
