Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Charleston

Papa John's usually participates in a food drive during the holidays where you bring in a certain amount of non perishable food items and you get a free pizza. I have gone every year for the last decade except one I think. This year though they narrowed the the scope to only canned food and the wouldn't let you come in and choose your pizza. They sent out some cheese and some pepperoni but thats it. While it's still for a good cause and I would still participate if these rules were to stick do believe that the more narrowed scope could hurt turn out and donation numbers. I would be curious to see the data from this year to determine if that is true or not. Ultimately though this food drive helps a many families in their time of need during the holiday season. Their pizza tastes great and the twelve can donation per pizza exchange is much more inexpensive than paying for four large one topping pizzas as a customer. Papa John's keep up the good work and thank you for continuing to do this every year. If you keep having the drive Ill keep donating and spreading the word as I have for most of the last decade. I ordered pizza recently on Saturday night around 8 pm. It was a nightmare. I ordered the food and it came in an expected timely manner but the driver was very abrasive. He honked his horn, banged on the door setting my dogs off, then also rang the doorbell. It was something I’ve never really experienced before when ordering delivery. Then we got our pizza. It was dry, poorly made, and tasted terrible. My partners pizza she found 2 hairs baked INTO the cheese. We thought it may have been one of ours but the second one was cooked way into it and we ended up throwing that pizza away not wanting to get another surprise. Then I ordered the Jack a lantern pizza and it was awful. It was burnt and then there was barely any cheese on it. I’ve attached a picture showing such sparse cheese it was basically a sauce pizza. The cheese sticks tasted odd and were dry. We were so disappointed receiving these pizza’s. I highly doubt we will order from there again...

Placed an order, asked for wings to be ran thru 4x. The manager said sure we'll make those well done. Got the wings, slimy. Called back the y hung up on my wife three times, said they had already refunded the money,they never refunded anything, the manager said his employees were misinformed. My wife left a review on a local review page. Their employee called my wife a liar and said we got our money back and wanted food replaced. I would never do that. Called again the manager said they were REFUNDING the money, never received it. This situation was handled extremely poorly and I'll never give them my money again.
