FINALLY made it to Chapter 6 another AMAZING WIN by Jon Dressler!!!

I swear that guy has got his business down to a T - from Service, to decor, the vibe/music was great.

But the food? Just hands-down THE BEST. I’ve never had a bad dish at any of his restaurants, I have 2 more on the list to try!

My oldest treated us all to Mothers Day Dinner, it is Mediterranean style, and WONDERFUL!!!

I think someone else had gone prior and shared a review, it’s definitely top of style. But there were five of us and we got to sample so many dishes!!

We couldn’t stop raving about the spicy (they really weren’t spicy which was good) harissa mussels - I’ve NEVER had anything like them anywhere. They were perfectly cooked - and I do mean perfect. Couldn’t believe how much meat!

My son and I had one of the nonalcoholic drinks, Horchata - OMG!!! Rice milk, cinnamon, vanilla - sooooo good!!

A really creative, wonderful flavor! Highly recommend you give it a try. And I love the idea they have tea pots and different coffees? I’m going to post the menu so everybody can see.

Truly, there is flavor, a drink for every taste!

By the way my daughter is gluten free and she was able to eat almost everything!! Just let your server know in advance.

I don’t know where they get the gluten-free crackers from? I would eat them on a regular basis. They are just so flavorful.

We tried the pork cheek, it was so tender. Literally, you tapped it with your fork and it broke in half! Never had it before but absolutely, highly recommend it.

We did the charred broccoli, roasted eggplant - omg soooo good!!! Seriously? Such creative ingredients/combination of different flavors.

Octopus was beyond amazing, so fresh and tender, very flavorful.

The whipped ricotta with fresh baked and grilled bread was over the top. I believe they make the bread in house.

Prosciutto carpaccio was FANTASTIC!! Another of my favorites.

Wagyu tartare was not to my taste because it had anchovy? I would’ve liked to have tried it without that, but everyone else enjoyed it. So it’s definitely a personal preference and NOT any fault of the chef.

Finally? The desserts? As always, hands-down, some of the best anywhere. Two servings of the EVOO almond cake was out of this world. Again, a really nice blend of flavors not overly sweet at all. I had the Rose Panna Cotte - WOW! Just WOW!!! it was so creamy, light beautiful blend of flavors. Son had sorbet and enjoyed it!

I can’t say enough about the Dresslers brand - everything he owns? It’s worth the visit and price tag. Heard he is old school, hands-on/involved in all his restaurants, his employees respect and trust him and he treats them well. It shows. End to end great experience...

4.5/5 – A Memorable Experience with One Unfortunate Bite

We recently had dinner at Chapter 6 before heading to a Charlotte FC match, and overall it was a truly fantastic experience. The restaurant has a bright, airy, welcoming feel and we were among the first to arrive for the evening. From the start, service was top-notch—our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and informative throughout the entire meal.

My wife and I opted for “The Treatment”, which is their chef-curated tasting experience. You let the kitchen decide your courses—on and off menu—and it supports a rotating charity with a $5 donation per guest. We’d heard great things from friends and were excited to try it. The server asked about any allergies or preferences, and we specifically requested the paella, one of my wife’s favorite dishes.

The early courses were excellent. A fried oyster appetizer special stole the show early—it was perfectly crisp and packed with flavor. We also enjoyed charred broccoli, whipped ricotta, and a rigatoni dish that was, hands down, the best pasta I’ve had in a long time. I don’t typically rave about pasta, but I genuinely didn’t want that dish to end.

The final savory course was the paella, and aside from one unfortunate moment (more on that in a second), it was very good. Beautifully presented, full of flavor, and loaded with large, perfectly cooked shrimp. However, my last bite—literally the final clam in the bowl—was clearly bad. The taste was so foul I had to spit it out, and for a moment I genuinely thought I was going to be sick. I’m assuming it was a clam that had died before cooking, something that can occasionally slip through even with careful prep. It didn’t ruin the entire meal, but it definitely tainted the ending.

We informed our server, who was very apologetic and said he would inform the kitchen. To their credit, they brought out a dessert course that was lovely, and also offered a complimentary slice of cheesecake as a gesture—though it was gifted to our guests, not to me (the one who ate the bad clam), which made us chuckle a bit.

Despite that one hiccup, everything else about the evening was memorable—in the best way. The ambiance, the service, the pacing, and the quality of the dishes were excellent. We would absolutely return and still recommend "The Treatment" to others. I’d just suggest extra care with the shellfish—and maybe avoid saving the...

I haven’t been pleasantly surprised at a restaurant for a really long time. Chapter 6 blew my mind. I came in on the Hawkins side. The hosts were very friendly and took me right to my table. As far as the basic ambience goes, I thought it was a little strange. There was a separate room when you walked in with regular size tables in the left. The bar was absolutely gorgeous but the rest of the tables and the restaurant were high tops. I don’t mind that so much, but other people might. I felt like the space with the bar had much better ambience and buzz. I would suggest sitting in the room with the bar. The service was impeccable. My water glass was never empty and our server Alyssa was a real superstar. She really made our experience special. The food was just as good. Tons of small plates. I wish I had a second stomach to eat more but I’ll definitely go back. We had the whipped ricotta and the prosciutto carpaccio to start. Both came with this delicious crispy bread. Both appetizers/mezze were incredible. For tapas, we had the harissa mussels and the blistered peppers. The broth for the mussels was delicious. I used the extra bread to dip into. The blistered peppers were delicious, but super spicy. I couldn’t eat them and Alyssa said we could get something else, but my friend liked them and she took them home. We got the gnocchi and lamb from the small plate section. Was super delicious. The lamb was very tender and the sauce was flavorful. My only negative was there was about 10 gnocchi on that plate. I got the lamb skewer on the side and it was perfectly cooked and the sauce that came with it was delicious! The drinks and wine were also amazing. I had an extra dirty martini with extra blue cheese olives and it was one of the better martinis I’ve had in the city. Alyssa also recommended the peace and friendship drink. It was gin based with mint, basil and olive oil. I could’ve had 20 of those. I am so excited to go back and try...
