Not a place for someone like myself, don't eat beef or pork. Went because doing a family thing and this was where everyone wanted to go. The young lady at the counter taking orders was pleasant enough, but that is about all my positive. Not a thing on the menu, aside from a couple kids meals, were able for me to eat. Yes there is a chicken sandwich and a fish sandwich, but each comes with bacon for whatever profound reason. Yes you can request it not be on your sandwich, but that's where my issue starts. Bacon is not a cheap add-on item on any menu in any state across the country. Typically a couple bucks or much more when adding it to your sandwich or what have you outside of the regular cost. But including it on the sandwich at a set price? I feel if I'm not getting it I shouldn't be paying as if I did. It's not tomato, pickle or any such item but one with a usually hefty cost. It's amounts to getting a double cheeseburger with one burger instead of two but still paying for the double. Not chill yo. So instead I went with a kid meal I could eat because there was no extra food items I don't eat on/in it. It's basic math, the restaurant saves on the cost but not supplying a part, but you can't pass that cost saving into the customer. Garbage! To me as an ex chef it screams greed. This same greed will now apply to every aspect of the restaurant. Ingredients, quality, service and setting. Speaking of setting, the child that brought us our food was exactly that. An adult child with a bad attitude. Almost went to have the generous tip I gave back. But that wouldn't have been fair to the nice woman I first dealt with. Overall, if you like the food I cannot eat, the rest of the fam seemed to enjoy it for the most part. I won't be returning, even in the "fam wants to eat there" scenario. I'll go elsewhere by...
Read moreGood atmosphere, fast service, high quality gourmet burgers and food. I came here on a recommendation from a friend and absolutely loved the food, the friendly and fast service and cool vibe of both the inside and outside seating areas.
I ended up purchasing the special which was a fried mozzarella burger with an amazing special sauce, roasted tomato balls and a juicy delicious burger! My friend purchased the siracha burger which he said was also fantastic with green siracha sauce that wasn't too hot but just right and fresh.
We both got the hand cut fries but next time I plan to get the sweet potato fries. I liked this place so much, I ended up going back the next day and I got the "Bang Bang Burger". I figured if it's the name of the restaurant it should be good, and I was right! This burger has a special Bang Bang sauce which tastes like their version of Thousand Island Dressing but with fresh ingredients and a nice twist. The burger was juicy and well seasoned like the other burger I ordered was.
The inside has I laid back atmosphere that allows you to enjoy the food and good conversation without being too loud on the inside while still maintaining a cool & hip vibe. If you are eating outside, you can also enjoy the scenery of the South End area.
If you are traveling to South End I would highky recommend trying this place out and then walking over to Jenni's for some...
Read moreI was so excited about this option. I should preface my review with two statements. I'm a picky burger eater, and my first burger at a restaurant is always a plain burger with ketchup, mustard pickles so I can decide how it compares.
The restaurant was incredibly busy, but we managed to find a table. The staff was very friendly and helpful in every step of the ordering and dining experience. Ordering was very straightforward and simple - outside of you have some upgrade options available that I didn't catch (see below).
The food took a while, but again it was insanely busy so I don't fault them for this at all - just good context if they're busy. The food looked great and the group I was with absolutely loved their meals.
I was very surprised to not love my burger as it looked amazing, but considering the raving reviews in my group, I am not going to pass too hard a judgement as I didn't realize I could upgrade my beef patty (again, remember I'm picky with burgers).
The sauces, sides, and toppings were all fresh and delicious!
So my quick thoughts are I'd try it again and...
