This business model is not a hard concept to grasp and yet every time I go into this particular Chipotle (which I won’t again) I realize that some of the laziest and most unprofessional people work at this particular Chipotle. What is the deal? Perhaps the owner of the franchise does not care. I’ve been to other locations in Charlotte that are way superior to this one. Here’s the details of my latest and last visit. The longest line in the history of lines. And everyone in line was pissed. There’s no reason for that long of a wait. It’s fast food. And all the food delivery people were standing around waiting on their customers orders and you KNOW they were furious. At one point one of the drivers said, “Come on I’ve been here forever!” I can’t give an exact reason for the delay but I feel like it was just a case of a poorly ran business.
Sullen is no way to go through life but I’m starting to think that it’s a job qualification for this location. I get it-you serve fast food. No one wants that job but IT’S A JOB! And we have all had cruddy jobs in our lifetime. I did those cruddy jobs and I did it with a smile and the motivation that someday I wouldn’t have to work that job. Ok back to the situation. The kitchen what I could see of it was disgusting! There was a PILE OF TRASH visible on the floor that employees were tracking through back and forth. It was shocking. Unfortunately I had paid at that point and was being handed my bag of food. My daughter ordered chips and guacamole and the container of guacamole was half filled. When I asked for more lettuce the employee sighed. Really? Is it so hard for you to put an actual handful of lettuce on a burrito bowl? Cause the first go round was like 4 pieces. When I asked for the verde salsa he pointed to the empty container and said “we’re out!” like I didn’t have eyeballs to see they were out. I said “yes, I see that. Will you be getting more from the back?” He glared at me and said “no, we’re out.” And that ladies and gentlemen is the employee of the month at this Chipotle. I’m kidding of course but it wouldn’t surprise me. I could really eat my food. I kept seeing the heap of trash in my mind and wondered…if it’s that bad where visible to customers - what is it like in the back of the kitchen? Are rats carrying off bags of salsa verde and that’s why there isn’t any in house? Did the employees just decide Today is the day we don’t make anymore salsa and you can’t do anything about it! Well, I can take my Chipotle business elsewhere. There’s a Chipotle like every 3 miles in Charlotte. And while this one was convenient, there’s no reason to give money to an established constantly gives the metaphorical bird to its customers. Dirty? Check Rude? Check Skimpy portions? Check Long wait? Check If the owner of this franchise is reading this…just get it together! Make a surprise appearance. Send some friends in to dine under cover. And get the trash under control. Cause a visit from the health department last night would have...
Read moreTitle: Disappointing Experience at Chipotle - Avoid This Location
I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience at Chipotle, specifically at this branch, which has consistently been disappointing for the past couple of years. My pickup order, placed well in advance, was not ready until a full hour past the designated pickup time. Upon arriving, I found over a dozen customers in the same predicament, waiting endlessly for their orders.
What struck me as particularly concerning was the apparent lack of managerial presence. There didn't seem to be a manager or supervisor on-site to address the chaos and long wait times. This lack of oversight clearly contributed to the disarray and customer dissatisfaction.
Adding insult to injury, the store was out of multiple ingredients, severely limiting the choices for those who managed to receive their orders. When I inquired about a refund for missing items like chips, I was met with incompetence; they were unable to process any refunds, leaving me and many others out of pocket for items we never received.
Overall, my experience at this Chipotle location was beyond disappointing. The consistently poor service, long wait times, lack of managerial presence, ingredient shortages, and inability to address customer concerns adequately make it clear that this branch needs serious improvement. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this Chipotle...
Read moreLong story short, EXTREMELY POOR SANITATION. I walked in to settle an issue with an online order and pick it up (the order was duplicated and charged twice) when I walked in the staff was rude and took 5 minutes to even acknowledge I was directly in front of them (I was the ONLY customer in the store) while I waited to be acknowledged, I witnessed them preparing my order. I have never once seen a commercial kitchen so dirty. There was food smeared all over the place and prior to putting our chicken in the bowls they began mixing random ingredients from the back directly into the bin I was being served out of. Literally mixed in straight cold pineapple juice directly into the chicken and some unidentifiable sauce. These practices pose risk to cross contamination, as they were marinade ingredients that were to be mixed with the raw chicken, now being brought up front and added to the cooked chicken. I could go on about the sanitary issues, but I digress. When I finally was acknowledged by the staff I informed them of the online order glitch, they sent me on my way with my 1 order, despite being charged for two. Thankfully, the customer service rep who assisted me was extremely helpful and attentive to this issue. I typically don't leave bad reviews, but from a food safety standpoint, I wanted others to be aware. I was not comfortable serving the food to others or consuming it myself after...
