DO NOT GO TO EDDY. It’s taken me the longest time to review this place because it brings up such a bad experience and anxiety for me. I had to wear wig after wig and do treatment after treatment to get my hair back after visiting their salon a few years ago. I hope to god that they’ve gotten better stylists by now. Eddy is who I had back then and I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said it wouldn’t be a problem at all to get it done. I was there the longest time- I believe it was about four hours or near that when I just decided to leave. She had bleached my hair not one, not two, but THREE times back to back AND wanted to do it a fourth time! And no, we’re not talking about in sections. My entire head. It was to the point where she couldn’t brush it without hair coming out and she couldn’t dry it because my hair was desperately clinging onto any moisture it could get. I told her how uncomfortable I was with the state of my hair and she told me she wanted to bleach it one more time. Even some of her colleagues were looking at her like she was crazy! My ends are still wrecked from this and it’s been YEARS. I didn’t want to write a review, but I wanted to save others from going to her. OH! And when I left the salon with wet noodle hair, they STILL made me pay even though my hair was literally falling out. I called the store about it after I calmed down the next day (and my hair was STILL not dry) and they said “you’ll have to call corporate” and HUNG UP. That’s when I just left it alone because I don’t need that negativity in my life. A friend of mine mentioned that she wanted to potentially get her hair done at Ulta and mentioned this location, so of course it brought all those memories back. Then I found out that Eddy’s name is still under the stylists and my jaw freaking dropped at the amount of peoples hair she’s probably ruined over the past couple of years. For reference, this is a photo of my hair 36 hours AFTER seeing her. I didn’t even get in the pool but it was still wet from my visit with her (what hair I had left). It was a completely terrible experience that left me with thin and horribly damaged hair for years. Like I said at the beginning, I wore wigs for quite some time because of how my hair was treated. I still can’t believe that she wanted to bleach it again after that. Just overall a horrible place. Go somewhere else if you want your hair done. I’m...
Read moreCame into this location and was greeted by two people on the floor. I told them I was looking for Winky Lux and they took me straight to it and then assisted me with the correct shade of concerler. I then asked one of the girls for reccommendations for a product for fine lines under my eyes, but wasn't going to cost me a fortune. She was amazing, helped me and showed me two products. The Clarins product was more than I had wanted to spend, but she showed me that there was a special with a $65 purchase or more, you received a free sample of the face cream which she also showed me. She was amazing. She told me when I got up to the register I would receive my free product. Everything was perfect up until this point. At the register my products were rung up at about $110, I inquired about the free Clarins face cream and the cashier said very very rudely, 'oh we don't have any', I said really, my salesperson told me I would receive it up front. She reluctanly went to look and didn' t see any, then the manager asked her what she was looking for and she told her and the manager said oh yeah, we are out of that, besides it says, while supplies last... (the entire time the manager was texting looking down and continued talking) she just kept repeating well it says on the sign, while supplys last, it says while supplys last'....it was handled so poorly, I had even asked if they gave out rainchecks if they were going to get any more in and looked at me like I was stupid. I then suggested, to Take Down the Sign then asked them to remove the $80 Clarin purchase. I could have purchased the Clarin serum, but they were so rude and condescending. My 15 year old daughter was with me and even acknowledged how rude they were. I told her they could have handled it so differenly and been nice and polite about it and I would have still purchased my product. It may not be a big deal to them that I canceled my $80 purchase and only spent $27, but I will be more than happy to spend the money elsewhere without free product just for some simple...
Read moreMy recent visit to Ulta at 236 South Sharon Amity Road in North Carolina on Friday, November 24th, was a transformative experience, all thanks to the exceptional assistance of Hannah. Her distinctive red hair and translucent-framed glasses made her instantly recognizable, but it was her expertise and warmth that truly stood out.
In a matter of minutes, Hannah skillfully found the perfect concealer for me. Her friendly demeanor, enthusiasm, and extensive knowledge of makeup brands for women of Color were incredibly impressive.
As someone navigating my 30s, I've become self-conscious about certain aspects of my appearance, particularly the lines under my eyes. Hannah, however, breathed new life into my makeup journey. Unlike my experiences at the 86th street store in New York, where I often felt ignored, this visit was not just enjoyable but also incredibly informative.
Hannah's positivity, brightness, and remarkable interpersonal skills make her an invaluable asset to Ulta. Her passion for makeup and her ability to connect with customers warrant recognition beyond measure. Ulta should seriously consider acknowledging her outstanding performance with a well-deserved raise and potentially even offering her a hiring consultant position.
Encountering someone as passionate and knowledgeable as Hannah was a true pleasure. Her infectious personality and dedication to makeup enthusiasts are precisely what make Ulta a haven for beauty lovers like myself.
In a world where exceptional customer service can be rare, Hannah embodies the perfect blend of a makeup aficionado and a vibrant personality. She redefines the makeup retail experience, and my visit to the Ulta universe was infinitely enriched by...
