I'd like to start off stating that I LOVE CHIPOTLE. I used to eat Chipotle two or three times a week without any regret. Since I've started a new job, I've been going to the South Blvd location as it's the most convenient one (unfortunately). I've been to many Chipotle locations, and never have I been to one where almost all the staff members are just plain and simple rude. I always get a steak bowl because I think (well, thought) their steak is amazing! Recently it has come to my attention of how the quality of their food has gone down hill. Now, I'm not sure if it's only this specific Chipotle that their quality isn't the same, as I understand Chipotle receives their produce locally, so I would imagine Chipotle's in the same area receive the same produce (this is just a speculation). About a month ago, I hadn't eaten anything all day long and I of course was craving Chipotle, so naturally I picked it up on my way home from work. Around two in the morning I wake up and I am sick as a dog. I ended up having to call out of work for four days because of how sick I was. My boyfriend tried to convince me that it had to have been the Chipotle since that's all I had eaten. I disagreed because of how often I do eat at Chipotle, it didn't taste or look any different... why would that be the cause? Maybe it was just a fluke. When I regain my health, my first meal? Chipotle of course. No illness occurred again, so I felt fine continuing to eat Chipotle. Well last week I pick up Chipotle and get home to see that the steak on my bowl is not good at all. It looked very old (like it was sitting out for a long period of time), the texture was very strange and it just didn't taste good. I called and explained the situation and I wasn't upset at all, things happen, oh well.. but I didn't want to eat that bowl and I didn't want to waste my money. The woman I spoke to apologized and told me to come back in to have it remade, so yesterday I did just that. When I arrived I made sure to take a look at the steak before ordering and it too did not look fresh. I politely requested to have fresh steak (not that I wanted to be a pain in the butt or anything but come on...; and it wasn't at a busy hour so it wasn't like it was inconvenient), the woman looked pretty dumbfounded and was clearly irritated that I made this request. Regardless, they fulfilled my request and prepared fresh steak which I was very appreciative of. So I make my way back to work and start eating to realize whatever this was... it was not steak, or at least not good steak. I now wish I took a picture of it but just by looking at it you could tell it wasn't "good" steak. The texture, the taste... it was all off. I even had a few of my coworkers try it to make sure it wasn't just me and they all agreed that it wasn't right. I ended up throwing it away after a few bites and I think I'm going to have to give up on Chipotle for now. The steak used to be SO good.. it was juicy, it was tender and it was always cooked to perfection! Given, I could venture and try something else there, but I figure why even? Please bring back the hospitality and quality of food! As far as South Blvd's location specifically, I definitely won't be returning there ever again. I'll drive the extra 6 minutes to a more...
Read moreI waited for my food and at the end asked for some vinaigrette dressing and was told they were out (funny, since it’s supposed to be made daily on site). I was told I could get “chipotle” instead. Since I normally get the dressing, I didn’t know what that was, so I asked the cashier as he was ringing me up. He very rudely stated that it was hot sauce as if I was supposed to know.
He asked me to insert my card and the machine just circled. He asked me to try it again, I tried the same card 3 times and then he advised me to try a different one. I tried an additional card twice with the same result, he was getting annoyed by this time. The manager Jason was standing by having a conversation with an old coworker. I asked if he was the manager and he said yes and asked what the problem was. I told him that his cashier was acting very rudely. He apologized and said he would take over the transaction, but not before “LeKeith” (the name on my receipt order 252 2:06 PM 10153) told me that I wasn’t being nice to him although the only thing I said was “I guess you can’t find good customer service.” He began his verbal assault by very loudly telling me that my card was declined and that I need to try another. He proceeded to tell me that I was stupid and didn’t know how to use a card machine, and that if I didn’t have the money to pay for the food I should never have come into the store. He continued to verbally assault me and walk towards me as the manager was restraining him and walking him to the back. He is correct about one thing. I should never have gone to THAT store, as now I remembered why I stopped visiting this one, the poor customer service. The fact that the manager allowed him to continue to berate me after he told him to walk away is baffling to me. I was so embarrassed by the whole interaction, and I was reduced to tears as the other customers in line stood and watched the entire situation unfold. I was given my food for free, but I don’t think this is enough for the embarrassment and the way I was treated.
I made a call back to the store after I left which is where I obtained the manager’s name as he nor anyone else at the location had name tags. I asked him what the employee’s name was and he stated he could not provide that information due to retaliation that may occur. When I questioned further, was it “LeKeith” he said he didn’t know who that was or where I got that information. I told him it was the name that was printed on my receipt. I asked him was he going to do more than what he did while I was at the store to handle the situation and told him of how embarrassing the entire situation had been for me. He assured me he would “handle it” but that it was company policy that coaching’s are not discussed with customers. Based on the way he continued to berate me and the serious lack of any type of reprimand on Jason’s part I feel like this is normal behavior for this person. Is this who you want representing your company? I may never step foot into a Chipotle again and I have been an avid fan an app...
Read moreWorst chipotle in the Charlotte area. About 95% of the workers experience no customer service. First started several months ago when I went about an hour before they closed. I go to order my normal burrito bowl and when I get to the second half, all they had was cheese and salsa left…. You could’ve told me from the beginning that you were low on supplies, I wouldn’t have even ordered. Matter of fact, I didn’t even complete the order because I’m not paying almost $10 for a burrito bowl with three ingredients (rice, fajita veggies, and cheese). This chipotle always either loses power or they just do “online orders” when there aren’t enough workers - I get times are tough with finding staff, but if you would DO THE ORDER CORRECTLY I would order online 100%. When I go into the store, I always order my bowl with extra cheese and sour cream. The girl behind the counter/bar said we “can only give you one ounce”. One, I’ve been coming here the past year and am always given extra cheese (in fact, came three days ago and was given “extra cheese” - I’m not talking about giving me a mound full, but sprinkling cheese where you can’t even taste it, is the reason I ask for extra). Two, if that’s the case you need to put a sign out to everyone. Three, your website allows you to order extra toppings (including cheese). Four, I even offered to PAY for extra cheese on the side and they said they couldn’t even do that (bring it up like a side of guacamole or regular queso). Absolutely this team needs customer service training. This place is convenient in regards to where I live, but I will not be returning and will be going to the location in midtown as their food is always fresher in my opinion (especially the guacamole) and better...
