Fantastic experience!! 10/10 reccomend.
I stumbled into this Nepali gem expecting a solid meal, and walked out wondering if I had just taken a one-way trip to Kathmandu via flavor rocket…
First off, the atmosphere? Total vibe. Cozy, warm lighting, faint Himalayan folk music humming in the background, and a welcoming energy that makes you want to stay for tea and tell your life story to the waitress. It felt like being invited into someone’s home—if that someone happened to be a Michelin-level home cook…
Now let’s talk about the real star of the show: the coconut curry. My god. Creamy, rich, and layered with flavor. Each bite brought a wave of sweetness, warmth, and a little whisper of, “Hey, you’re lucky to be alive for this moment.”
And because I like to live dangerously… I ordered it with a 10/10 heat level. And they did not play. It was the perfect balance: the kind of heat that makes your forehead glisten and your stomach feel alive, without turning your mouth into a lava pit. It didn’t just punch… it danced. Spicy, but ever so respectful.
All in all? This place is doing god’s work. If you like food that tastes like someone put heart, heat, and a whole lot of spice alchemy into it, get yourself here immediately. And get the coconut curry. Get it hot....
Read moreI saw this place on a TikTok post and I also saw it in the Mountain Island Facebook group something about they moved because they’re lease unexpectedly and unfairly terminated on them at their previous location and they had to relocate, so I wanted to give them some support. it was a Friday night around 6 PM and there was plenty of seating. The owner seated us at a booth and we looked at the wine list and I saw that they had chicken lollipops as appetizers so I asked for them and a Taj Mahal beer. I loved the beer, it was $15 but heck you don’t get a chance to drink a beer like that very often. chicken lollipop delicious it was kind of like a mix between curry drumsticks and General Tsao’s chicken lol but it was very good!! I asked the owner what was the dish he was the best at because I honestly didn’t know what to get and I didn’t want something I had already had before elsewhere. He asked if I liked lamb. I said I loved lamb… then he said then the Johlwala was his best thing he made. So it wasn’t long before he brought out our dinner and wowww, it is now going to be on our weekly circuit! For dessert I saw that they had mango lassi shakes and I asked him to bring me one and I wish they would’ve brought me two because it...

The smoked curry was delicious. I got it at a 4 spice level with their cheese garlic naan. I like my curry spicy and their 4 was right on the edge of making me runny. I will probably get a 5 next time.
In terms of Curries, I felt their curry was delicious. I’ve had a few slightly better contenders but they met, or rather, exceeded my expectations at their price point.
The cashier was diligent in explaining which meats went best with which curries on their menu (being ignorant as I am in their culture I really appreciated this). The garlic cheese naan was definitely within my top 3 naans of all time. They should definitely keep making it that way!
Every Indian restaurant should be good at Naan, and Curry and Everest Bistro checked both boxes for me.
My only complaint was their only stock of beers was Mexican imports (Modelo and Corona). They really looked out of place at an Indian restaurant. Fortunately, the Modelo paired just fine with my meal. I recommend they stock at least one or two Indian import beers such as Taj just to fit the theme of...
