A friend and I went to Hermanita for Cinco de Mayo around dinnertime. We had a reservation, and even though we were running a little late, our table was still available—so that was a good start. The setup was super minimal. There was one person working the bar, maybe two at most, and only about five or six tables total. What caught us off guard was that there were no servers. You had to go up to the bar for everything—food, drinks, you name it. Not exactly what you expect when you’re seated at a table. They were also serving margaritas in plastic cups, which didn’t exactly match the vibe you’d hope for on Cinco de Mayo. The place markets itself as a speakeasy, but it really isn’t. There’s nothing hidden or mysterious about it—the front door was wide open, and it’s clearly connected to the sister restaurant next door. Food-wise, it was nothing to write home about. I had the birria tacos and honestly, I’ve had better. My friend had a burrito and said it was just okay. One thing that felt a little off was when one of the employees made a comment about how long we’d been sitting at our table. As the place started to get a little busier, people began approaching us to let others know they were waiting—which was fine—but the way the staff handled it made it feel like we were being nudged to leave. It just created an awkward, uneasy vibe. All in all, the biggest miss was the lack of customer service. It’s not a place I’d go back to or recommend.

This place is amazing! We first walked into El Malo and it looked like a basic taco shop, but don't let that fool you. Hermanita & El Malo combined are fantastic! Can't say enough good things. Absolutely delish, melt in your mouth, handmade corn tortillas, fresh toppings and meat. Oh, and the drinks?!?! Amazing as well! They make all their juices and drink mixes from scratch. I had the Bon Bon and my friend had a house Marg w jalapeno juice added for spice. The Birria taco is one of the best I've had. The staff is all super friendly and great service, too!

Absolutely loved my experience at Hermanita Bar! The service was top-tier from start to finish. Every staff member was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The ambiance was warm, vibrant, and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a great night out.

The food? Incredible. Everything is made fresh, nothing frozen and you can truly taste the difference. The homemade tortillas were a standout!

A special shoutout to the manager, Duckie, who exuded positivity and made the experience unforgettable. Her attention to detail, kindness, and thoughtful check-ins made us feel genuinely cared for. The music was on point, the space was spotless, and the vibe was just right. I’m already planning...
