I normally don’t write reviews, but this place stuck with me for a few days. I went in and sat at the bar a few days ago to grab a quick bite and the servers were too busy gossiping to take my order. I was very hungry and had waited so long that I just ordered a pizza anyway. The 10 inch pizza was more for one person, and mostly crust. The crust was about 70% of the pizza. As if they were trying to save money on toppings. There was barely any sauce I needed refills of water to wash it down like a pill. The toppings were indeed regulated as if there was a limit of 4 of each topping. 4 teaspoons of sauce, 4 pepperonis, 4 sausages, etc. It was not very busy and I see why. The chef has no idea what he or she is doing.
Then I look over at the young lady next to me and she gave me an “I know it’s bad” look after looking at my pizza. She also noticed the bartender looking up a drink and assisted the server/bartender with a couple of simple cocktails not on the menu that every bartender should know (gimlet, dark and stormy). She did it in a way that didn’t draw attention. The bartender looked annoyed, but made the drink after the girl listed the ingredients and then proceeded to ignore the girl who had an empty drink. As if she was cut off.
We spoke for a bit as we were from the same city, but she was busy trying to leave and get attention for her bill and it was obvious she was in a hurry to leave. Even to me. She finally got to ask for the bill after being ignored, and they asked if we were together or separate. We walked in separate and didn’t speak until I was done eating my pizza. She was already done with a to go box in front of her when I arrived. Very uncomfortable… and she kept looking at me apologetically because she had to spell it out for them that she would not be paying my meal! We are from the same city, but that doesn’t mean we moved here together? Is it because I am a woman of color? Do I need someone to pay for my meal? I wasn’t sure who was more offended! Me, her, or the staff. All of it was strange, but seemed normal to the staff. When she left, they complained! As if she was trying to take their job. Calling her sloppy drunk. She was acting more sober than they were.
When I saw that, I didn’t even bother complaining about the “pizza”. Which was breadsticks with one topping on each slice if you’re lucky. The place is just a pit of negativity, why bother just to have them gossip about me as soon as I leave... I just paid and left. I do not plan to go again. I didn’t want to tip, but with how loud they are with the gossip, I wasn’t about to have one of those 18 year olds run out and complain about the tip they didn’t earn. What a terrible place to end my work day! And what a waste of money. Not to mention, terrible staff that made things exponentially worse!
Only good thing about this place is how understanding the clientele is of the staff. This place needs a new chef and maybe add a house mom or dad of sorts to keep the staff under control with the personal conversations in front of the clientele. Someone over the age of 18 or has been drinking for longer than 4 business days.
If you are the owner, please don’t reply. I will not give this place another chance. You could offer me a $1500 gift card and I still wouldn’t go, or do anyone a disservice by...
Read moreI’m not one to usually write reviews. I generally tell people via word of mouth about what establishments to patronize, and which to run quickly away from. This time, I'm taking it to the internet.
Came in tonight (8/7/25), for a quick bite, a couple of drinks, and some food for later. Our server, albeit new, was doing her best to take care of us. This review is not a reflection of her, she said she was still new, (although that says a lot about training standards).
Came in tonight, sat promptly, our server came right over with waters, got our drink orders, and they were tasty.
Ordered our food, some was for dine in, and we ordered a pizza togo. Minor confusion when it came to what was dine in/togo, but was handled very well; brought out the dine in food, and kept my pizza hot in the back. Shouts out.
The issue came when my girlfriend ordered the chicken francese, but asked to sub the potatoes for pasta. We’ve done this before, both in person, and through doordash. It’s never been an issue before, but tonight, we were brought a check with the drinks/food we had ordered, as well as an additional bill for 13.99 for a kids butter pasta.
Being confused, we asked our server what the extra tab was for; apparently it was for the substitution, because “it's not something we do”.
I get it. Been there, done that, right? This is accountability, and it comes from management. Obviously, our server, (being new), did not know what the correct course of action was. She went to the MOD, but instead of coming to the table themselves to address the issue, they made this server go back and forth, being the liaison, and trying to explain two different “policies” to us.
Meanwhile, the rest of the staff is staring at us, like we are the problem.
The story is almost done.
Once the server brought back our tabs, they had taken off the full size kids meal, and she said that management “would be reviewing their menu”.
God bless em, I hope so; we thought it was over, but wait! There's more.
Once we got back our closed bill, we noticed that the price had increased from $127.57 to $131.69. There was no itemized receipt left, so where did the increase come from? That is the restaurant, passing along the credit card processing fees, to YOU, the consumer. Probably with no notification. CRAZY!
Place used to be great. Really would like a plaza staple to stay as good as it was. /(‘.’)/ A 14+ year...
Read moreI am leaving 2 stars. When I received my order, the first thing I noticed was this tiny, and I mean tiny, square cut like it was a childs birthday cake slice, of Tiramisu. I have had a lot of Tiramis' over the years that come in either cake slices or rectangular cut cake slices that are a generous size. I paid probably $12 for a slice in most places I have been and it was more than worth it. The different flavors each slice gives off is unimaginable and keeps you coming back for more. My child size square cut of Tiramisu cost $8.95. It was tasteless and had no flavor. I had three bites and gave the rest to my significant other. Onto the pizzas. I got the boxes and trusted that what I received was right seeing as I had paid $23 a piece for both of them. They were correct upon opening them at home. I dug in instantly as I was hungry and wanted to enjoy every bite. I gotta tell you I was disappointed. There is thin crust and then there is this pizza. The Quattro Formagi(cheese pizza essentially) had barely any cheese on it and was beyond paper thin. The Capriccioso(essentially their version of a meat lovers pizza) was also paper thin. There was but what seemed like a sprinkle of the mozzarella, pepperoni, beef, Italian sausage, ham, and bacon on this pizza. It was 90% doughy pizza dough and 10% some ingredients. Almost every meat lovers pizza I have ever had has been ALOT of meat and pizza. The meat covers and practically falls off every slice of pizza. Every slice of this pizza, nothing fell off because there wasn't anything on it. it was just dough. Just disappointing. I will just go to Pizza Hut or Dominos next time I want a meat lovers pizza and pay half the price. I will not be back to try anything else if the pizzas and the Tiramisu are any indication of the rest of the menu. It is a shame since the restaurant was clean and very clearly maintained professionally. It had a good ambiance and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that wasn't a waste of my money was...
