Hey y'all, let me tell you about my absolute favorite spot in Charlotte, not just because I live right by it… (is it too early to mention they do a 10% discount for folks that live within walking distance away), Sip City Market and Bottle Shop. I relocated to Charlotte just over a year ago, and stumbling upon this hidden gem has been an absolute delight. Let me paint you a picture of the warm and inviting experience you'll find here.

First off, the team at Sip City is simply amazing. From the moment you step inside, Renee or Nick (the manager) greet you with genuine smiles and a welcoming vibe. They make you feel like a part of their little family, and that's something truly special. And let's not forget about the young and passionate owner, Yaz. His dedication and love for what he does shines through in every detail of this place. It’s rare that you get to witness someone who is watching their dreams come true. His simple but infectious joy is contagious for his “baby” coming to life.

Now, let's talk about the ambiance. Sip City is housed in a quaint location that exudes charm. They did a great and quaint job of making it feel cute but comfy but also trendy. The live music on some nights is a personal favorite of mine. Picture yourself sipping on your favorite beer or wine, because let’s be honest they carry a LOT, and if Yaz doesn’t have it… he will acquire it for you… back to what I was saying, swaying to the soulful tunes, and just letting go of all your worries with smiling folks both employees and parishioners. It's the perfect way to unwind and enjoy a night out.

And Sundays? Oh boy, you're in for a treat! They host these fantastic events where local vendors set up shop, offering all sorts of interesting items. It's like a mini flea market, right in the heart of Plaza Midwood. You can browse unique treasures, support local artisans, and have a great time all at once.

Speaking of drinks, Sip City doesn't disappoint. They occasionally organize beer and wine tastings that are as informative as they are enjoyable. It's a wonderful opportunity to explore new flavors and expand your palate. But here's the best part—they cater to all tastes! If you're not into alcoholic beverages, fear not. Sip City has a delightful selection of non-alcoholic options that are equally refreshing.

Now, let's head outside to their back patio/lot. The addition of a food truck has taken things to a whole new level. Imagine sitting under the open sky, enjoying delicious bites from the food truck while sipping your favorite drink, and enjoying some outdoor seating especially if it’s not too hot. And did I mention they are pet and family-friendly? It's a great spot to spend quality time with your loved ones, including the furry ones!

Oh, and if you're up for some good old-fashioned fun, Sip City has got you covered. They have an impressive collection of board games that you can enjoy while savoring your drinks. It's a perfect way to engage with friends or make new ones in this cozy and inviting atmosphere.

And let's not forget, Sip City is also a retail shop. So, if you find a beverage you absolutely adore, you can take it home with you, They also have many amazing retail items for sale at a great price.

All in all, Sip City Market and Bottle Shop is a place that has won my heart. The welcoming and considerate team, the live music, the Sunday events, the beer and wine tastings, the food truck, the outdoor seating, the non-alcoholic options, the meat and cheese/ sandwich options, the pet and family-friendly environment, and the board games—it's all here! So, whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure you pay a visit to Sip City. Trust me, you won't regret it.

This place honestly deserves 10 stars, with all that they do. I used to go to the wine tasting and comedy night on Wednesdays, and the staff was always very friendly and welcoming. They are knowledgeable about the wine and beer they carry, and Yaz has clearly poured his heart and soul into the place to make it comfortable and fun for everyone. Recently, they had gone WAY above and beyond. I needed a last-minute Christmas gift for someone who I found out to be sober. I remembered Sip City offering NA cocktails, so I reached out on the off chance that I might be able to get something in time. Yaz got back to me within 20 minutes and was sending me different gift options and even went to check on the shipping options for me. Unfortunately, UPS was going to be a bit pricey, so he got me in touch with the company that makes the cocktails to order from them directly. I can't say enough about how wonderful...

Absolutely love Sip City Market & Bottle Shop in Charlotte, North Carolina!! I can’t believe it took us this long to try it. Such a great cool space. Lots of fun artwork and seating. There’s even a record player with records! They have about eight beers on draft as well as a ton of cans from many geeky breweries. They also have wines by the glass, as well as by the bottle- both cold and warm! They also had tons of other nonalcoholic drinks as well as alcoholic seltzers! I had a really really good one from Suffolk Punch! Had a super clean bathroom where you could draw on the walls and they’re super dog friendly. The highlight of our visit was Austin.
