I decided to try this location out today. When you walk in, the aesthetics is okay. Very average but there is some cool artwork on the wall. As I waited in line, I was deciding the flavors I want to try since it was my first time at this creamery. I've been to many, many ice cream, frozen yogurt, creamery type of places and always got the chance to try which ever flavors I wanted before making my final selection. When it came to my family's turn to order, we asked to try one flavor, and as soon as we asked, the worker , very rudely and snobbishly said "you only get to try 2 flavors". There was no sign saying that anywhere. And I completely understand if theres is policy that says customers can only try two flavor, but it's how rudely and unpleasant the lady behind the counter was. I was very excited to try this creamery but when she started acting so unpleasant and standoffish, I was very "turned off" from this store. It made me upset not the fact that maybe we only get to try 2 flavors, but the way she said it and the look on her face when she said it. I was very disappointed. Personally I wouldn't have purchased anything, but I was with a kid and I didn't want to tell him we weren't getting ice cream after I said that we were. We ended up getting 3 orders: mocha, shipwrecked, and cookie dough. The ice cream itself was pretty good. Maybe the workers at another location would be nicer so that might be a better experience. The service and interaction with this specific lady ruined the vibes and the experience for sure. They need kinder and more fun, energetic person behind the counters, not someone that is standoffish and rude. I truly wish I had a better experience here because if it wasn't for her, this would have been atleast a 4...
Read moreThere's a guy who works there that needs to be fired. He really hates his job, intentionally acts dumb so he can passively take it out on his customers by trying to pretend he's acting on their best interest. Case in point, I paid a visit (Saturday, April 13 at around 5:30) and got one scoop of strawberry cheesecake and one scoop of lavender honey flavor ice cream and when I approached the register to pay, this guy decided to break my cake cone in half to add the fudge by puddling it into the well he created from breaking the cone.
First off I didn't ask to have that much fudge added onto the ice cream and asked him to stop! He didn't listen, I was so flustered however I made him get me a new cone to place over the top where the original one was (and in tact!) I knew he didn't mean well because the next thing that came out of his mouth was "wow, people usually get mad when I do that, idk why 🤷" That's when I asked for a new cake cone. I feel like I'm living in some form if virtual reality cartoonish existence when things like this happens. Ice cream was not even that good, too sweet and quality is that of having blue bell. It's okay 👌🏼 But thanks to this guy, that really sealed the deal, I will not be returning. So much hassle for them for requesting fudge and I like my cones in tact in...
Read moreI love this ice cream shop. One of Charlotte's three local creameries (Golden Cow and Elizabeth Creamery being the other two that are local to Charlotte) and it never disappoints. I come here fairly often, always bring visitors I have in town, and come with locals whenever I need a fix. Despite the local creameries, it's main contender in town however is a big-named, national chain, Jeni's. In my experience being a sweet-tooted consumer eating at both, a taste test between comparable flavors, Two Scoops wins out not only in taste, but price per serving and quantity of serving. The data says: come support local!
Best overall flavors in my opinion are Shipwrecked (chocolate lovers) and Biscoff, but Stewbrew, a coffee flavored ice cream might be a new contender, but follow your flavor profile. Most popular is likely the cookie monster, considering it's whimsical blue coloring. Best seasonal flavors are the Gingerbread and "Not your Mama's pumpkin pie." The only one that might needs reworked is the Fruity Pebbles flavor, it needs a bit more in my opinion. However, no shortage of great picks.
The Plaza Midwood location is the original shop, opened in 2016 by three best friends. However, there are several other locations that serves the same...
