Subject to update should a sincere apology be offered or if the owner reaches out personally.
As a longstanding patron of this establishment, I never thought I’d be writing a review like this—especially not on Memorial Day weekend, a time of reflection and respect for veterans like myself. I’ve spent thousands of dollars with this store over the years either through purchasing subs for my houshold of 9 or my employees of 13, my god kids who work in the area or just treating friends, shared pleasant exchanges with the general manager, and even discussed deeply personal topics, including raising children with special needs and the unique challenges that come with being neurodivergent. I believed we had built a genuine rapport.
But today’s experience left me deeply disappointed, even hurt.
I called to place an order on behalf of my god-sister, who had left her wallet. I merged the call so we could coordinate, but within seconds of answering, the manager abruptly hung up. I called back multiple times—no answer. When my god-sister walked into the store and let them know I was trying to reach them, I was finally put on the phone with the manager. Rather than receiving an apology or even a moment of patience, I was met with a rushed tone and dismissiveness. She told both me and my god-sister that she was "busy," though my god-sister confirmed there were only a few customers in the store at the time, all of whom had already been served.
I tried to gently remind her that I was a loyal customer—not as leverage, but to underscore the fact that this kind of abrupt treatment was unexpected and hurtful. That was taken as an unwanted attempt to converse, and I was again rushed into ordering. The tone was cold, the courtesy absent, and the respect that should be due to any customer—let alone a returning one, or a veteran—was nowhere to be found.
I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m asking for basic human decency. You never know what someone else is going through. But bringing your frustrations to work and pushing them onto your customers is never acceptable.
This review is subject to change should a sincere apology be extended. I welcome the opportunity to speak with the owner directly, not to escalate, but to express why this interaction left me feeling diminished, dismissed, and frankly, disrespected.
Respect is a two-way street. Today, it felt like it was under construction—on...
Read moreLOVE Jimmy Johns, but this location needs some real help.
This has to be by far the worst Jimmy Johns location. I just moved here, and unfortunately they are the closest to my house, I have given them 4 chances now, and will be going to the further location from here on out.
They have messed up all 4 orders. The first one the bread was raw, actually literally still raw and doughy. The second time I had placed my order for pick up, I got an alert saying it was ready for me to pick up, but I get there and they still hadn’t started it. I was the only one in the store and it took 15 mins to make two basic subs with no alts. The third time they gave us the wrong chips (happens sometimes not a big deal in my book). And this last one, I went to pick up, they had the wrong side, we fixed that, but then I went to fill my drink and an employee was emptying the trash, in front of the fountain drink machine, so I was waiting patiently for him to finish, but he was watching cartoons on his phone while at the same time trying to get the trash out of the bin, took him some time to realize he had to put his phone down to accomplish this. He then put it down but had to pay so close attention to it he was UBER slow in extracting the trash, at this point I’m just entertained at watching this unfold in front of me. I’m honestly thinking he’s watching a tutorial on how to remove the trash, but finally he looks up from his phone and sees I’m there waiting to get a drink, and moves so I can get in. I’m able to see his phone at this point, it’s not a tutorial, it’s cartoons, he was watching cartoons so intently it was hindering his ability to take out the trash.
I NEVER write bad reviews, I always assume it’s a one off, people have bad days and I get that, but in this case it has been EVERY encounter with this location.
I’m sorry for the bad review, but people need to know. Or at least management needs to be...
Read moreI ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 chips online today for delivery. When the order arrived, almost an hour later, the order was not complete. It was missing the 2 chips. I called the store manager and she indicated she could deliver the chips or offer a refund. I selected the refund. Almost 2 hours later, a different store manager called and indicated that I would not get a refund, as the driver said the chips were delivered. He said it was a he said/she said situation and it was their policy not to refund. I reiterated the chips were not delivered and asked if they could just deliver them as the previous manager stated that was an option. I was told they did not have a driver for the afternoon. They offered a free sandwich, but would not be able to deliver, I had to go to the store. This is terrible customer service and I did not even go into my experience of talking with an employee about the delivery taking so long. If Jimmy Johns had acted with integrity and delivered on the premise of fulfilling an order and if they couldn't, to refund the portion not filled, I would have no issue with this. Their refusal to refund $5, (its the principle!) has cost them a long time customer. I realize that in the grand scheme of life this loss will have little impact on them, but I hope I can warn customers of this treachery so they can make an informed decision. They essentially...
